119th congress: must be at least 75 to chair a committee!

To me, Roy Cooper must be everyone else’s version of Andy Beshear: milquetoast, moderate white dude who no one wants, except maybe his own voters. Dude doesn’t excite me at all. But, in your mold, if he wins a NC Senate seat for Democrats, he’s the best, nicest, gentlest fucking Democrat who ever lived.

Damn right. Any Dem who wins statewide in a Red State is Jesus Christ with Jayne Mansfield tits.

Sen. Josh Hawley introduces bill to send tariff rebate checks to Americans

First to NBC News: Hawley pledged to sponsor legislation after President Donald Trump expressed interest in sending out rebate checks last week.

I thought those were paid by the country exporting the goods?

Apparently, Rep. Glusencamp-Perez had tried to introduce an amendment in a budget bill that said members of Congress could not be “unimpeded by significant irreversible cognitive impairment.”

I don’t know what’s more shocking, the fact that it had a committee vote or that Glusencamp-Perez actually tried to do something useful?

This is how dumb the Republicans Medicaid cuts are. (I saw a segment with Mike Lawler today while watching a news show).

You lose your Medicaid because you fail to fill out the paperwork that proves you worked, or volunteered or whatever. No big deal. You just let shit go longer and then go to the Emergency Room. They can't turn you away. That costs way more than covering you under Medicaid in the first place.

And when Mike Lawler was told about this obvious flaw he blew it off and said it was New York State that was the problem, and not the Federal Government.

I think it's time for Republicans to put into law their ACTUAL health care plan. DIE Early, and if you're sick or can't afford insurance you just get turned away at the Emergency Room door. I wonder how many votes they would get then? Probably enough. The US would still vote in Trump.
