They played the draft as smart as possible. I don't know if every team would have been as cutthroat about it as they were in taking advantage of really reading the rules. I don't think the NHL anticipated them taking such advantage.
 
Given that I think they’ve given up most of their future picks, will be interesting to see if they bottom out or find a way around it

The NHL allowed the fewest players to be protected ever and forgot that the salary cap made the rules completely different to the 1990-1999 expansion drafts.

Lots of reasons to despise Vegas

Right now it’s popular but a lot of these teams are cyclical. There will come a point where guys are only gonna take so much of a discount (or teams won’t want to give up valuable pieces to Vegas in trades if all they are offering are old guys.

Either way mark stones gravy train is ending - the cap loophole is being fixed in this next cba that’s already done
 
Apparently the NHL dude in another video was giving the group shit for slow play. Drunk dude was an idiot, but NHL dude could have probably avoided throwing any punches as drunk dude had zero chance of getting anything near him.

I was going to say, I never trust these videos that clearly start in the middle of an altercation. Put me in the they’re both clowns category. Shouting “Bang!” as you throw your punches? Sure sounds like someone that really tried everything to avoid violence to me!

Crappy people win fights all the time.
