I mean, first off it was Saravelli. And Russo lives for drama.
I just texted a good friend who is …affiliated and that’s all I’ll say. Their comment was they expect a shorter term deal by next week.

Who knows.

Definitely what it feels like from a neutral perspective. He's 28, and an 8-year deal with an org that hasn't gotten to a WCF since 2003 doesn't sound like the place to spend the rest of your prime years to a lot of players.

I think he’s an idiot if he banks on this team more than 3 years. They haven’t proven they can do anything.

Always good enough to make first round, never good enough to get a high draft pick. Apathy develops. I wish people would stop supporting the mediocrity but the owner knows he can print money here because every game sells out and they aren’t a shitshow like Chicago

Hmmmm..........not a John Hynes fan? Neither am I. But, I do think Guerin has exhausted the number of coaches he is allowed to fire at this point. Maybe we just need a GM who can hire the right coach in the first place?
 
Preseason seems to be going well…

Barkov reportedly out for the rest of the season with injury and Jamie Benn is out indefinitely with a collapsed lung.
