“I haven’t before. I never have. … I haven’t worn a pride jersey before.”

"...But she caught me on the counter (It wasn't me)
Saw me bangin' on the sofa (It wasn't me)
I even had her in the shower (It wasn't me)
She even caught me on camera (It wasn't me)
She saw the marks on my shoulder (It wasn't me)
Heard the words that I told her (It wasn't me)
Heard the scream get louder (It wasn't me)
She stayed until it was over..."

Almost all have some stupid tribal design or Punisher skull tattoo somewhere, so you can usually box these people up pretty good with Leviticus 19:28.

“You shall not make gashes in your flesh for the dead, or incise any marks on yourselves.”

As soon as they say, "The New Testament does not invalidate the Old Testament. Jesus our Lord and Savior perfectly obeyed all of the laws of Moses", the list of boxes is endless. Wearing any clothing made of mixed fibers? Still have all your foreskin? Where are your untrimmed sideburns? Ever eat ham for Easter and/or Christmas dinner? Rueben sandwiches? Blood sausage?

Oh, so you say that according to Acts 15, only certain laws of Moses apply today. I wonder who decided that? Oh, a council of men who were apostles and/or early church leaders, not Jesus or God! Turns out that Gentiles weren't too keen on signing up after they were told they'd have to get snipped, so that law (and other "inconvenient" laws) was conveniently dispensed with for converts. Are we sure they got it right? How do we know? ;-)

Sabres had their Veterans/Military jersey night last night.

No complaints, no refusal to wear it, nothing.

Anymore, I'm starting to think it's to hide the people who are LBGTQ but are afraid to show it. Especially if that is being acted upon kids, trafficked humans, or even players- all of which happens within the haters.

It's also pretty interesting that we condone the people who mass kill people- which I thought was a deadly sin. It's even part of the 10 Commandments. Being LBGTQ isn't- even searching for references brings up interpretations as opposed to direct opposition.

Then again, looking at the 10, most who fear LBGTQ also market in others of the 10 plus death.

I hate the pens as much as anyone else, but that was a pretty dramatic ending that was really fun last night against the Caps. Go up 3-0, and then like they have many times this season, give up the lead. And instead of going to OT, Malkin scores with less than 2 min left in the game to win it. Fun game to watch.

I was going to post about the Bruins' record chase and the availability of extra points. But, as it turns out, they have just 2 shootout wins- which is 2 extra points and 2 extra wins that the previous records didn't have a chance to get. Much closer than I expected.

If they manage to keep it that way and beat Montreal by 3 points, and the Red Wings by 3 games- that would certainly be a record. Otherwise, an * may be needed for the change in rules that add points and wins when they used to be ties.

I never realized there was any controversy as to the points record. Isn't it just Montreal in '76-'77? They also did it in 2 fewer games than Detroit, and didn't play overtime in the regular season.

But, I'm sure I'm missing something.

Kep has brought it up that with the tie rule, there's 3 points available instead of 2 for a SO game. So how those points add up does matter. To the loser, it's just a tie game in points, to the winner, you get a bonus.

Things change, and it changes how records are presented to a winner- sort of like how last year in F1, there was a big deal that Verstappen won so many races, but it was also the most races that have been run in a season- so it was and wasn't a big deal.

But, Boston does not seem to be mooching much on that.

So, I noticed something at Logan today, and this is the closest to a relevant sub for it.

You may remember me such movies as "Boston Sucks," "Boston is Overrated," "Boston is the Most Obnoxiously Self-Absorbed Armpit in the Universe with Nothing To Justify It," and for a little light reading, my leaflet "Boston-born People We Would Not All Have Been Better Off With Never Having Been Born."

But. At Logan I saw their wall of banners, and it is f-cking magnificent.

To make it even better, you have to look at them as you snake along the endless Security Theatre line. It's marvelously malevolent.

Credit where it's due: that is cool.

We could something similar in New York but it would run the entire length of the terminal.

Soooo...it is just Montreal in '76-'77.

Now, if Boston were to get to 133-135, I'd put an asterisk, as their PPG would be less than Montreal. If they get to 136 or 137, I wouldn't put an asterisk. The game/rules change. Do Detroit fans put an asterisk next to their 62 wins? They did it in 2 more games + 3 OT wins (The NHL didn't start playing overtime in the regular season until the early 80's).

Can I just say that Leah Hextall is terrible announcer?

And she always ends up on whatever Seattle game ESPN is broadcasting.

As ESPN puts a hockey tripleheader on ABC, including a nightcap that goes up against the NCAA title game, it makes me wonder what kind of ratings they would get if they still held their triple header but used the third game to show the NCAA tournament.

NHL on ABC is averaging around 1 million viewers. Last year's national title drew 404k. Could you make up another 600k purely by being OTA? The women's championship doubled their ratings going from ESPN to ABC in 2022 to 2023 from 4.3 million to 9.9 million viewers. Even the XFL is seeing a bump of 250k-500k in games on ABC vs ESPN.

Obviously much of that was Caitlin Clark for the women's FF, but that's still a helluva jump. My other thought was going the women's basketball route and throwing it on Sunday afternoon, but that would go directly against the Master's final round.

Women’s Worlds are going on. In entirely expected news, the US and Canada are each 3-0 going into their final pool play game against eachother. US has had more firepower at a 22-4 goal differential, while the Canadians have had stronger defense at 14-1.

#3 Finland finds itself in Group B after getting upset in the quarterfinals last year and then upset again in the 5th place game by Japan. They’re outclassing opponents at a 21-3 goal differential so far. Japan is actually holding their own in Group A.

Follow up on this: NCAA pulled in 800k on ESPN2. NHL game pulled in 1.2 mil on ABC.

Varying factors here. You have the biggest college hockey fanbase boosting numbers, but you also have the best NHL team and a massive fanbase in Boston boosting numbers there. I still think you could get an extra 400k solely by being on ABC to bring NCAA up to the NHL number. But you’re also not going to have a blue blood every year either. A Cornell-Merrimack final won’t bring in anything close to that. At the very least it’d be nice if they put it on regular ESPN.
