His side benefits from it, so why would Hovey want any of it changed?
So, what exactly is the "it" that my "side" is benefiting from here?
It's kind of funny. Not quite four years ago now you guys were all running around shouting how we were about to see the end of democracy. It's over. The institutions would have no chance of defending us. Blah, blah, blah. I called horsehockey.
So now here we are four years later. The autocratic, fascist, nazi, dictator got voted out. Really? I didn't know autocratic, fascist, nazi, dictatorships ended that way, but whatever.
Our free press was going to be destroyed, yet has emerged stronger than ever. Our court system has been destroyed or completely politicized, yet when called upon to rule on the most political of issues (the election), has decided again and again in favor of the rule of law, reasoned decisions that pretty much everyone agrees on.
Our right to vote was to be taken from us, suppressed by destruction of the postal service or removal of polling stations, etc..., yet more people than ever cast ballots.
And in two months, the man all of you said would never leave office except at the end of a rifle barrel, will walk out of the White House, probably flipping us off as he goes, on to whatever half-baked reality tv show he can sucker someone into creating for him.
Yet, you guys, always with the need to find something to fret over, are all bitter that he won't publicly concede, or that he phones some low level bureaucrat somewhere with the insane idea that if he can just get her to agree with him, the election can go his way.
Why is it that when Trump says he's going to build a wall on the Mexican border, or reform the health care system, or some other such nonsense, you immediately (and correctly) conclude he's full of shiat, but when he says he's going to change the outcome in Michigan you all claim to believe he's going to be able to do that.
I really could care a less what Trump does these last few months. It's like watching a chicken that's just had it's head cut off. It's making a mess, and causing a commotion, but it'll soon be over and forgotten.
