Your team, or nemesis, in short words

Re: Your team, or nemesis, in short words

Aren't parts of BU in Brookline?

basically, no. there is one specialty dorm brownstone on beacon street in brookline for some reason. there also might be one ancillary office building that no one's used in 10 years.

personally, I think our nemesis is providence.

Gopher colors of maroon and p!ss.
The NCAA's they did miss.
Their program is taking a dive.
Six, is still greater than five.

In regards to the team called the Sioux
It looks like your nickname is through
To compare it is vital
To recently won a title
The Gophers are better than you.

Re: Your team, or nemesis, in short words

Nemesis or rival? To me, a nemesis is a team that your team simply can't beat when it counts most.

Re: Your team, or nemesis, in short words

It seems that every year
we hear a fan who chirps
about a team we cannot beat
those Maverick wearing purps

although they never gloat
and most do seem quite nice
just one split series this first year
would be great to see on ice

perhaps it is the history
as Serratore and Juttings coach
but why we lose is a mystery
with goals they seem to poach

i hope this year they pick another
to foil with ice heroics
from playing purps the last few years
we tire of being stoics

sure is tough to rhyme with purple.
