Your program's Mount Rushmore

Re: Your program's Mount Rushmore

UAA

Brush Christianson
Rob Conn
Mike Peluso
Curtis Glencross

You could also throw in dean Larson or Derek Donald in there too

LSSU:

Bud Cooper
Ron Mason
Jim Dowd
Doug Weight

Many honerable mentions include Brian Rolston, Blain Lacher, Jeff Jackson, Cris Dahlquist, Darren Madley, Rick Comley among a few others.

I agree with the choices there. Jeff Jackson and Brian Rolston could easily be up there as well.

Re: Your program's Mount Rushmore

Duluth's honorable mention should include Tom Kurvers for sure, maybe add Derek Plante and Curt Giles too.

Re: Your program's Mount Rushmore

American International isn't my team, but I'll take a stab at their Mount Rushmore:

Dave Forbes (3rd in career P/G [2.55], 1970–71 All-American, 363 NHL games)
Gary Wright (Head coach 1984–present)
Tom Mullen (1st in career points [248], 1.10 P/G in one IHL season)
Kevin Wortman (20th in career points [137], 11 seasons in IHL and top European leagues, 5 games with Calgary Flames)

Others I considered:
Guillaume Caron (1st in D1 career points [117], P/G [0.98] and goals [61])
Mike Smith (1977–78 All-American)
Jeff Arnold (2nd in career points [202])

Re: Your program's Mount Rushmore

Henry "Hank" Akervall for MTU should be a nominee even though I don't think he is top 4...

Re: Your program's Mount Rushmore

Maine:
Shawn Walsh
Jim Montgomery
Garth Snow
Scott Pellerin

I love PK but he wasn't at the school long enough to be on our Mt. Rushmore. Other deserving nominees would be Mike Golden (the first "name" to commit to Maine), Eric Weinrich (Shawn's first Olympian) and Grant Standbrook.

Re: Your program's Mount Rushmore

A few more names for the Minnesota list: Mike Ramsey, Buzz Schneider, Corey Milan, Bryan Erickson, Larry Olimb, Brian Bonin, Thomas Vanek.

We may need to move some of these monuments to the Rockies :)

Well, there will eventually be a vote to bring the list down to 4 for each program. I'm thinking that will probably happen sometime in the next couple weeks after we get nominations from each of the programs. That being said, I believe you can only put 20 options in the polls on this site, and there will be an option for "other," so that leaves 19 nominations possible for each program.

Still looking for nominees for the following programs:
Mankato
Colorado College
Nebraska Omaha
Bemidji State
Michigan (need at least 2 more nominees)
Alaska
Ferris State
Massachusetts
Union
Dartmouth
Yale
Princeton
Colgate
Air Force
RIT
Canisius
Bentley
Army
Mercyhurst
Niagara
Uconn
Robert Morris
Holy Cross
Sacred Heart

Re: Your program's Mount Rushmore

Lasch deserves a spot on there IMO.
Depends on the criteria. My top four Husky players of all time might include him, but I was thinking more in terms of significance to the program. No doubt that if we put this to a vote it'll end up being all players.

Just think if the real Mount Rushmore was put to a popular vote... Washington and Lincoln would make the cut, but Jefferson and Roosevelt would probably be replaced with Reagan and Clinton!
