It appeared to be scored on a deflection caused by a fore checker. UMD carried the offensive play in the first period.

Play was pretty even actually. UNH outshot UMD 11-9, with three of those shots coming in the last seconds of the period.

why is it that the BU-Hurst game has replay on their game and we don't....is that what the announcers are..homers? i don't think they know who they are playing and didn't bother to learn anything about UNH...they SUCK!!.. UMD clearly had the first period...if they shot the puck instead of looking to pass, it would be 4 or 5 goals...UNH is suffering from it's seasonal problem of the defense not moving the puck quickly, let alone choosing the wrong avenue out of the zone....plus they have yet to STOP on the puck instead of sweeping the check....I said that the better team would not win this game this year....so far UNH has me in the know...GO CAT!

are the guys drunk or just the absolute worst announcers EVER... really an embarassment to UMD if they do their games all the time....AWEFUL!!

Tom Hansen has been doing UMD games for years. John Gilbert doing play-by-play? Often writes for WCHA.com.

At least they know a lot about one of the teams, which is more credit than I can give to a lot of broadcast teams.

In case Wildcat fans didn't know, it is Kelly PAY-TON and Kristinia LA-VOY.

Also, every shot UNH takes is a great save by the UMD goalie, even those that go wide of the net.

MUCH better period by UNH....glad that KP shot on net at the 25 second mark but a little diddle and she was past the goalie...good period by UNH...much better dfensive zone movement

Pretty uninspired play by UMD after Larocque's goal...their intensity level dropped to about zero. Look's like a day at the beach...lots of real casual skating...they'd better wake up if they expect to win.

I hope we never have to play UMD again because what ever you want to say about these jokers doing the game in 35 years of hockey I have NEVER EVER heard a bunch of IDIOTS like these 2...they don't call the game they enjoy each others company...UMD shouod fire them both!!
