Yale Skating Circles around WHCA

Re: Yale Skating Circles around WHCA

A degree from UND can take someone very far especially an aviation degree from our flight program that's ranked top 5 in the United States, after that it's just trashy degrees like law and medicine.

Er... when was the last UND hockey player to graduate with an aviation degree? I'm curious.

Re: Yale Skating Circles around WHCA

I've come to the conclusion that we need to get Hokydad away from his Merrimack/BU/BC/PC/RPI obsession and get him season tickets to Yale.

Who is with me?!?

I'm in.

Maybe we can get belobrasil with him and the idiot Brown fan too....maybe Osorojo if we can find a link between Yale bringing in stupid hockey players just to win hockey games...

I don't know about the last one, but Frank Burggraff, a member of the '80 and '82 national championship teams, graduated from the aviation program. When I talked to him at a Sioux game 4-5 years ago he was a pilot with Northwest Airlines (with Delta now, presumably) and doing very well.

Now THAT is really SPECIAL!!!!!! I just E-mailed the news to John Ashcroft, Dick Cheney, Bill and Hillary, John Kerry, Angela Bassett, Claire Danes, Alan Dershowitz, Frances McDormand, Edward Norton, Ben Stein, Meryl Streep, Gary Trudeau, Sam Waterston, Henry Winkler, Bob Woodward, the entire Luce, Mellon, Pillsbury, Wrigley, and Bass families. Of course, John Kerry was the only one who played hockey...... and rumor has it he wasn't very good!!!!!

I feel sorry for Yale having to "tout" about 4/5 of those people as graduates.

Re: Yale Skating Circles around WHCA

How is this the first mention of the Bush family in this thread? Yale alumni have been brought up on several occasions, but not this one? Stunning.

Because besides Yale fans, no one else gives a crap who went there.

Re: Yale Skating Circles around WHCA

Let's face it, Yale beating CC is like Boise State or TCU winning a BCS bowl game. Yeah, sure it can happen and it does happen from time to time, but it's one game. It's easy to get fired up when you have two or three "big games" a year. Guess what? #10 MTU went to #1 CC and beat CC two out of three one year and cost them a shot at the NCAA tourney. Was MTU the better team that year? No. There was a reason they finished 10th in the conference. Was MTU the team who won two of three games that particular weekend? Yes. I won't even go so far as to say they were the better team that weekend, they just managed to win some games.

Yale's ranking is largely based on last year's play. Yale and Cornell were both ranked in the top 10 a few weeks ago even though they had yet to play a game. When Yale plays 20+ games a year against the top teams and has a record above 0.500, then let's have this discussion again.

Based on this discussion's logic and the results of Monday Night Football, Mike Vick is the greatest football player... ever.

There should be a poll for the most arrogant college hockey fans :

I nominate

ECAC = Yale
H. East = BC

thoughts for west coast Nominees?
