Yale Skating Circles around WHCA

Re: Yale Skating Circles around WHCA

Where has yalehockeyfan been? I think we need an update from him.

Re: Yale Skating Circles around WHCA

Here is from today's Denver Post

Footnotes. From a rankings perspective, Air Force's upset over Yale was one of the most impressive victories in program history. The Falcons beat third-ranked Colorado College and Michigan in 2009. . . . Yale took the game's final six penalties, totaling 26 minutes. The Bulldogs were assessed minors for charging and cross checking at the buzzer and the coaching staff was given a 10-minute misconduct after tempers flared during the postgame handshake.

Re: Yale Skating Circles around WHCA

Hey, Dirty, WHAT ABOUT ME........don't you miss ME?
I'm still living the dream in the desert; haven't been able to manage
my busy schedule to the point that I can compete with your prolific
posting history. Ever think that you might have too much time on your
hands? There ARE, I would suggest, more constructive ways to spend
your time than bashing Yale and its student-athletes.
Anyhow, spurred on by your marvelous insights, I'm going flee
the 70-degree weather and head to Ithaca and Hamilton this weekend.
I feel a tremendous sense of urgency to have a pep-talk with these lazy good-for-
nothings. Oh,and their parents...... the Littles, the Martins, the O'Neills...... HOW
do they show their faces in public? And the Kearneys..... should their daughter
REALLY be spending all that time skiing?
Just some food for thought. Happy birthday Friday.I'll ask the team
to dedicate the Cornell game to you. Continued wisdom and personal (and spirit-
ual) growth at 31. You are well on your way to achieving your goal of becoming
the most beloved guy on the board........ especially at The Whale. All the best.
Yaledoc.

Where has yalehockeyfan been? I think we need an update from him.

Re: Yale Skating Circles around WHCA

I'm going to be honest here. I didn't really miss you at all. Sorry.

Why would Keith and company be so angry about the end? Were there phantom penalties or something? I obviously didn't see or listen to the game, so I don't know (hence why I ask).

Re: Yale Skating Circles around WHCA

I'm heart-broken. Your post disappoints me...... where's the old fire and brimstone?

You didn't start this thread and have done nothing to incur the old fire and brimstone. Plus I remember how delicate your sensibilities are and it would be a shame to upset them.

Yep, way to stay classy. Unable to accept that they got beaten by a good team in their building, the Yalies starting running guys with 30 seconds left. Why not give a kid that has maybe 30 hockey games left in his career, and which the country has already spent several hundred thousand dollars educating, a career-ending or disabling injury.

And everyone wonders why no one respects the Ivies anymore.

"Thread: Yale Skating Circles...

I wish you could retroactively abort yourself. ~Rimbaud"

At least this guy's pro-choice...

Look at what some loser repped me:

"Thread: Yale Skating Circles...

It was a hockey metaphor, Baby Huey. Try to use that Ivey league education on the streets and don't forget to wrap the sweater around your neck"

This guy sounds real street.

Yeah, people don't seem to like you.

Its not just the string of a few wins this year that has Yale fans so classy, this isnt a new thing. I remember a few years back listening to the game between ND and Yale. I remember hearing a "fan" in the crowd start yelling at the ND radio announcer. Apparently the ND announcer was expressing his dismay towards the officials penalty assessments after a few Yale players were trying to run every ND player they could. When the ND team finally had enough of the pests and put them in their places, the eastern officials started calling penalties. Apparently their whistles were lost till then. Anyway, the "fan" was becoming belligerent and started swearing at the ND radio announcer. He then called him out, and the announcer had to call for security! I laughed when I learned that the "angry fan" was the Yale athletic director!

Class act!

You should have seen Mike Schafer's (coach of Cornell) reaction 2 years ago when his team was defeated in game 1 of the quarterfinal playoffs by the #11 team in the ECAC. He was actually suspended for the next game.

Don't get me wrong, because there are some fans and representatives of ivy league schools that are very classy, and several of them frequent these boards. Unfortunately there are some people that give these schools a bad reputation, and can make you feel un-easy about playing them 12 times a year minimum.

Re: Yale Skating Circles around WHCA

This is so much better then the "Is Yale the best team in college hockey?" thread.

Hey Eli's ever seen say UML start a thread like this... wait that's a bad example, pretend it was any team that has ever started of the season with a few wins over mediocre teams.

Re: Yale Skating Circles around WHCA

It's pretty amazing that Yale can field a team with intelligent players AND hockey skills !!!!! Do your players even graduate? A degree from UND probably goes far.

Why is that amazing? tWcha graduates intelligent student athletes and fields quality teams every year. Our players graduate and learn how to use punctuation(fyp), dolt. A degree from UND can take someone very far especially an aviation degree from our flight program that's ranked top 5 in the United States, after that it's just trashy degrees like law and medicine.

Bottom line, Yale might have a decent team this year but as usual when next year comes around they'll have just as many NC banners as they did the previous year.

Re: Yale Skating Circles around WHCA

I've come to the conclusion that we need to get Hokydad away from his Merrimack/BU/BC/PC/RPI obsession and get him season tickets to Yale.

Who is with me?!?
