Yale Hockey 2014-2015. 138 miles to the ultimate goal.

Re: Yale Hockey 2014-2015. 138 miles to the ultimate goal.

Nice win Yale ... outshot us 17-4 in the first period and blocked 15 shots. Shut us out at home, not an easy thing to do. A well deserved win and an outstanding defense.

Did not get to see or hear the game. I guess the defense and Lyon are back on track!

Thought this might be on DIRECTV since it was on cable in NY, according to the Yale website, but I couldn't find it, so I settled for Live Stats. Nice to beat Union, it's been a while, and the defense was obviously back on track. Time to win a Saturday game now. It's been a few weeks.

What's more enjoyable than hearing Yale-Union referred to as a "showdown of the last two national champions."

Nice 4 point weekend for the Blue and White. Defense back on track. Hayden got a nice birthday night off. QU fans are already crowing about winning Cleary on Friday. Up to 14th in the PWR as of this minute. DiChiara and Doherty have been playing lights out and Repensky has been a revelation. Alex Lyon up to number one in the goalie rankings with a 1.59 GAA. Going to be quite a finish.

Yes - Repensky could be their best player of late. A real break out kinda game tonight. Didn't see that one coming either. Here's hoping we bring our A game vs Q.

Repeating what I said before the last game against Q, with a couple of edits:

Friday night, on the road, against QU. Time to step up and make a statement.

Except for the first 5 minutes, Yale played well. This team is one good sniper away from being a really, really, good team.

They also need to do something about the anemic power play. They played well tonight, especially in the hostile atmosphere. Hayden absolutely baffles me, not sure what is up with him.

Certainly an area where that pure goal scorer we need would help.

Can't believe my luck. Business trip to London. In bed by the time they dropped the puck. Yes - finisher is the only missing piece with this club. Still, to come from 2-1 down in their rink, I'll take it.

I'll take the point, but a pretty sloppy game. I think really poor ice conditions didn't help the flow of play. Yale had some good chances in OT but couldn't finish. Frankie had a wide open net early in the second period and somehow put it right back under Gartieg.
Can't have a let down tonight against Princeton.

On another note, why does QU even have ushers at the games? They let the students sit wherever they want!

Students are the only general admission section. The rest are assigned seating and hence the need for ushers.
