I loved that match, particularly not having to listen to any commentary in English (We were the only Anglos in the bar).

Here's what we all learned tonight at our shin dig:

1. Jesus fuck, Spanish-speaking gays are LOUD
2. When both teams try, footy is beautiful
3. El Salvadorans and Hondurans hate Mexico enough to even root for England
4. Belizians (British Honduras) don't
5. The Azteca just wasn't All That, despite the build-up
6. My god Mexican women sports fans are gorgeous
7. If you don't care who wins, hot-blooded Latinos will spot your table drinks all night long to try to win your allegiance
8. At least when my wife is at the table and dressed to kill
9. At least when our gorgeous Nigerian friend is there and it's the Spanish gay pickup district

Loved everything about the game. Didn't have to hear the usual anti-Mex ball gagging from US-adjacent media. The better team by a scintilla won. No complaints.
