I assume Brazil was deliberately trying to make the ending so bizarre and disjointed they could get 2 good looks out of it, and they nearly did.

But it's disappointing to see The Nation synonymous with pure form and grace reduced to politicking like < your most hated team here >.
 
Is Infantino going to be there tonight? If President Sheinbaum wants to appeal a decision on the pitch, will she be able to just lean over and talk to him or does she need to call him?

It's ridiculous seeing all the pearl clutching by various people around the world regarding the Balogun suspension. As if every other country wouldn't do the exact same thing if they were in a similar situation.

Yeah, other countries are so jealous that our president is the living embodiment of all seven deadly sins. A corrupt, senile octogenarian who shits himself and has the mental prowess of a rock. Whose corruption is only equaled by the bald lawyer from Switzerland who will debase himself publicly to appease the child rapist war criminal.

If only....

Oh please, this isn't the only World Cup in history where the host nation has blatantly greased the wheels. Platini admitted that they greased the draw in 1998 to have France avoid certain teams. Germany bribed officials to host the 2006 World Cup and then FIFA reportedly pressured referees to favor seeded teams. England absolutely ratfucked their way in 1966, influenced referees, changed venues at last minute etc.

Everyone is just upset because the Americans did what the others always do.
 
It's gonna be rough when the alarm goes off at 4:30a tomorrow morning after seeing this match through, working till 2:30p, then off to one of Chicago's main soccer bars for US/Belgium...

I need to remind myself I'm not in my 20's anymore, ha ha ha...
