How come France has become as consistently strong as Spain and Germany used to be, while England is meh and Italy fell off a cliff? Random variation, luck, or true systemic causes?
 
That Mbappe guy is pretty good.

Seriously, France's passing is amazing- they are putting the ball into really small gaps and getting them through more often than not. Love the aggressive play from them.

MAGA/Reform UK/Nazis won't like it, but where they get players for the national team plays a part.

Birthright citizenship (which we still have and France has had) is why the USMNT striker is going to start tomorrow instead of watching Kane from the bench (assuming he even makes the roster). It's also why so many of their stars have surnames that don't exactly sound French...
