That was fun, but underwhelming... Many games were played in venues that were 1/2 full or less. In Philly for the US/Paraguay match, the entire camera side of the field was vacant along with the 3rd tier seating all around.
Well, I’d say they won’t overcharge this time based on that experience but I doubt they learned anything.

They rotate hosting duties. Another country can pick it up, that’s why it’ll probably be in the US.

I meant another South American country. Shouldn’t Brazil or Argentina be able to host at the drop of a hat?

Really they could make it a trial run for 2026 and host in all three NA countries. Looks like there were ten venues in 2016, so you could do Mexico City, Monterrey, Toronto, Vancouver, and six US cities.

I mean yeah South American country could but Brazil just hosted the last one and it sounds like with Argentina’s economy being a mess they’re out. I think it would normally end up being in a South American country but they’ve got an opportunity with the US and Mexico (and Canada too I guess) not having any qualification on their schedule.

Props to Croatia as they aren't one bit intimidated by Brazil as we head to extra time.

We'll see how the extra 30 min plays out.

Do you suppose the medics ever get upset by all the hysterics the players go through when they feel the slightest of touches?

"You don't need me. You're fine. You need to get up and play football, instead of flopping around on the pitch like a fish out of water."

Landon Donovan after Brazil's goal: I wouldn't be surprised to see this end 3-0 with counter attacks.

After Croatia's goal: WE SAID NEVER COUNT THEM OUT!!!
