Not too shocking. El Salvador is probably the least important opponent in this round of games plus he hasn't played much lately being out with COVID and all.

My tummy hurts whenever we take anybody for granted but you certainly know better than I.

Here's the schedule mostly to remind me since I suck and always forget.

CONCACAF World Cup Qualifying Schedule, September 2

Canada vs. Honduras
Time: 8:05 p.m. ET
Channel: Universo
Livestream: Paramount+
Moneyline odds: Canada -170, Honduras +475

Panama vs. Costa Rica
Time: 9:05 p.m. ET
Stream: Paramount+
Moneyline odds: Panama +195, Costa Rica +140

Mexico vs. Jamaica
Time: 10:00 p.m. ET
TV: Channel: Univision USA, TUDN USA
Stream: Paramount+
Moneyline odds: Mexico -650, Jamaica +850

USA vs. El Salvador
Time: 10:05 p.m. ET
TV: CBS Sports Network, Univision
Stream: Paramount+
Moneyline odds: USA -195, El Salvador +475

Do we root for Mexico to roll over everybody else to lessen our chances of winding up 4th (or worse)?

*shrug* Three games in a week, even if he wasn't coming off of COVID he wasn't gonna start and play in all three. They'll be ok.

I want what I always want for Mexico: Suffering.

In the “it could always be worse” department we turn to eternal member of said department Canada.

Soccer Canada, whose broadcasting rights are held by a stand-alone streaming service called Onesoccer (owned by Mediapro the company that held Ligue 1 rights in France and then promptly gave them up because they missed multiple payments, causing many French clubs to go into severe financial trouble), announced a deal with Sportsnet that allows Sportsnet to broadcast all the World Cup Qualifying games for Canada.

Announced today.

The day before World Cup Qualifying starts.

Soccer Canada everyone!

Canada, you ain't gonna qualify for the World Cup if you're losing to Honduras 0-1 at home.

(Paramount+ has most of the CONCACAF qualifiers)

I thought that transition in the first minute of extra time might lead to a good look. I'll take a draw.

Mexico nearly drew at home against Jamaica but pulled it out late. I swear you could give them 200 minutes and they’d find a way to win in the 199th.

So Mexico won at home but the other games were draws, and Panama v Costa Rica was also 0-0, so the US isn't losing any ground with this draw.

Canada is in some serious trouble dropping points at home.
