So Mexico won at home but the other games were draws, and Panama v Costa Rica was also 0-0, so the US isn't losing any ground with this draw.

Canada is in some serious trouble dropping points at home.

We did lose ground if everybody else pile drives El Salvador. I don't think that will happen, but we did look underwhelming. Also: I have no idea who 90% of our roster is, but that's on me (I can't name a single active Timber).

I liked the platinum blonde dude on El Salvador.

I don’t think anyone is piledriving El Salvador, at least at home.

I think people have forgotten that almost none of these players have experience playing road games in CONCACAF, and road games in CONCACAF are no joke. Yeah, they could’ve won (and certainly had chances) but a draw isn’t the end of the world.

I agree. Just saying it's possible at least that we did leave points on the table that others will get.

Since we only need top 3 I'd be fine with 6 roads draws and a L at Mexico and then take our chances stateside.

Yea, I mean, you have a 24 year old playing in the States or Europe... At no point in either of those places is a corner being taken with three dudes in full RIOT gear standing 10 feet behind the dude taking the corner...

It's like trying to hit a free throw at Cameron Indoor Stadium... You can practice all you want, but the thought will be in your head when you are asked to do the task....

It’s possible someone like Honduras or Costa Rica will pick up a win in El Salvador but I wouldn’t hold my breath, especially considering how much Hugo Perez has done to improve ES.

This may well run the risk of getting Brazil kicked out of the World Cup.

So, from what I've read:

1. Brazil mandates a 14 day quarantine for travelers from the UK
2. There's been an agreement among CONMEBOL nations that because of bubbling and isolation that these things do not apply for International Soccer.
3. Brazil apparently said "Nope, not this time" and pulled the four Argentinian players who came from the UK after the match had started. Argentina hadn't been informed of this by Brazilian authorities. Brazil is saying the players lied on entry forms (press X to Doubt) and only found out prior to the match (press X to Doubt). They tried to arrest the players in the locker room but the Argentinians locked the door (that's probably true).

So just another day in South American soccer.

Canada with the classic CONCACAF Bunker and Counter.

”Score a goal for us Davies, you’re our only hope!”

I think we know FIFA would never kick Brazil out of the World Cup. They'll just give Argentina the 3 points and make Brazil play in an empty stadium against Venezuela.

Brendan Aaronson has been the best player all night, good to see him score.

Also, this referee has been a mess all night but that was a great advantage call.
