I did not realize that Japan had brought such a young team. If they host in 2023? Oof, that could be rough for the rest.

Re: World Soccer XXIX: Pro/Rel USA! just kidding!

Me too. I googled it figuring it had already been decided (thinking it was Japan) and was surprised to see it won’t even be determined until next year.

All existing bribes rejected as insufficient.

So it's $118 after fees for a American Outlaws supporter ticket to the Gold Cup final. Also no refunds if the USMNT fails to make it...

If people ever wonder why this sport struggles to draw casual fans and plays in front of 1/2 full stadiums

American Outlaws supporter section was not the cheapest ticket for the game here in Minnesota, but I get what you're saying...no refund is not a surprise at all...but lets be honest, a Gold Cup final isn't for casual fans. Friendlies are where the ticket price needs to be better, fill the stadium to get people engaged and experience the event.

No, it's not the cheapest seat here either... That is $73 for a 400 level ticket in a corner... But the point still remains that EVERY single USMNT match has the seating manipulated to give the illusion of a full house, whether its a friendly, Gold Cup, Copa America, whatever. These matches are NOT selling out, and CONCACAF & S.U.M. are happily lining their pockets by pillaging the few fans that are willing to come out... I'm sick of it. This is before you get into the $40-60 parking that is around Soldier Field.

I want to be a soccer fan. I really do. But over the past 5 years, I've learned that it's simply too **** expensive to travel around to support this team

One point to make, the Gold Cup and Copa America were/are more for targeting fans of teams like Mexico. American fans are more of an afterthought.

But yeah the ticket prices for friendlies are pretty insane.

Of course, if you want to see real cash grabs then the Euro team friendlies are on a whole other level. For that Real-Barca game in Miami it was actually cheaper to fly to Madrid or Barcelona and watch an actual game between the two than that friendly.

Re: World Soccer XXIX: Pro/Rel USA! just kidding!

I really have no problems with $100 for the gold cup final...after all it is the CONCACAF championship game...that shouldn't be "cheap." My group stage match against Guyana was $50/person in the cheapest section in the stadium. I'm not going to disagree with the parking situation and all of that but thats nothing new and the gold cup final should be on par with a Bears game. I assume CONCACAF did the gold cup quarterfinals the way they did so it was impossible for USA and Mexico to meet until the final.

I've been to 2 US matches ever...WCQ vs Jamaica in KC for 2014 World Cup (only could afford it because prices dropped after USA clinched in the game before this final Hex match) and the game against Guyana in my "backyard."

USA soccer is not a cheap ticket ever...

Yeah, I don’t have a huge problem with Gold Cup or WCQ game costs being what they are, the demand for WCQ allow for that while the Gold Cup is mostly on CONCACAF (the ticket prices were similar in Costa Rica and Jamaica).

Friendlies need to be cheaper though. It’s pretty clear given recent attendance that demand isn’t there.

I don't understand why this Group C isn't significantly cheaper...

Re: World Soccer XXIX: Pro/Rel USA! just kidding!

Because there’s enough people willing to pay.

maybe it just looks like crap because these are doubleheaders and a lot of people aren't attending both? I'm sure the panama vs T&T game attendance looked terrible on TV too
