That's... very funny.

It is kinda embarrassing that the greatest melting pot nation on earth has a sh-t men's team, but the only way I see that ever changing is a color line: formally ban whites from US soccer. Until we do that the Country Club Mafia will see to it that their spawn never lose their playing time to the kids of the brown people who slave for them.

Saying that the maximum salary for a female player should be higher than the minimum salary for a male player is a "bad take"

Speaking of bad takes...

“Melting pot” is not a term I would use to describe American soccer. There’s a reason why Liga MX and the PL are the two most popular leagues. There’s a reason why CONCACAF holds the Gold Cup in the US. People love soccer in this country, they’d just rather watch it from other countries, even the white people.

Until football ceases to exist, we’ll always have a problem. There are very few countries where the top talent is just going to gravitate towards something other than soccer.

Russia and Canada have hockey
Japan, Central America, and Venezuela have baseball
Lithuania has basketball
India and Pakistan have cricket

Other than that, just about every other country has soccer as THE sport kids want to play.

A 4-goal win over Guyana seems a bit uninspiring given they're ranked something like 177th. Bad take?

As for soccer in America I would think that as the immigrant population tied to Latin America continues to grow so too will the influence of soccer.

And that reason is an average American family has more disposable income than an average Central American town.

I know that our immigraniada still have allegiance to the team back home but their kids are Americans. Instead of putting them into cages we should put them all through soccer camps. If we're going to be Nazi Germany let's at least get a World Cup out of it.

Australia with Cricket/Rugby/AFL
New Zealand with Rugby

That’s the other end of “melting pot”. Immigrants were expected to assimilate and adopt “American” sports like Baseball and Football. Soccer was, and to some portion of the population still is, the game for foreigners, girls, and queers.

The first half was definitely uninspiring. I was shocked at how much the US team tried to run under long balls instead of playing through...

If the uswnt wants to have the same pay structure as the men, where they don't get salaries and just get appearance fees, their union is free to negotiate for it. Until then, you're comparing apples to oranges.
