I think the "left-footed" argument is weak given it's a paper team. Caligiuri started every game in 2 WCs and was instrumental in developing the US into a regular WC entrant. Agoos didn't make a WC roster until he was 30 and didn't play a single minute of it. Heck Pope played 2 games in that WC alone and both were MLS DOTY one time. However, Agoos owns him in total Caps. Why not Dolo?

That said it's not a terrible pick and there are legit reasons to name Agoos to the list.

I see that the owners of Hull City want to rebrand the team to the Hull Tigers. SACRILEGE!! That's like renaming the Hull Olympiques to the Gatineau Olympiques!

The Best Of Awards celebrating the best moments of the 100 years of US Soccer has reached the final four.

Landon Donovan's winning goal vs Algeria in the 2010 World Cup is up against the 1996 Women's Team winning the first gold medal in Olympic play.
The other semifinal has Abby Wambach's miracle header vs Brazil at the 2011 World Cup is up against the incredible 4-3 game between the USA and Canada at the 2012 Olympics.

The Algeria goal was an awesome moment, certainly, but the lack of anything from 2002 seems like a glaring omission to me.

The '02 win over Portugal was defeated in the previous round by Landon's goal vs Algeria; the win over Mexico was also defeated in the previous round by the US Women winning the Olympic Gold in 1996.

USA beating Mexico in '02 lost to WNT Wins First Gold, '96 OLY in the last round AND
USA beating Portugal in '02 lost to Donovan Winner v Algeria, '10 WC in the last round

Minnesota native and current Southhampton goalie Cody Cropper might have the best future ever by a USA international. I have from our Soccer People group on Facebook that this kid is a stud and will be the best at his position ever. Rumor has it he's a great kid! Looking forward to following g him at Southhampton. The Saints really know how to develop talent.

In an event that surprises exactly no one, the finalists for most memorable moment in the 100 years of US Soccer are the Landon goal against Algeria in the 2010 World Cup and Abby's header in the quarterfinals of the World Cup against Brazil.

Any chance he could flip to the English national team (I don't recall the rules on that)? It's not like they have a lot of depth or youth at that position.

Sounds like a interesting prospect, but he's got a ways to go. Hope he does well.

sure could, he has to play for the US national team (not a U-# team) in a non-friendly to be cap locked to USA.

Jack Butland has been billed as a pretty can't-miss prospect, but we all know prospects can be fickle things.

hmm...US Men finishing 3rd in World Cup '30 makes it to the final eight before being eliminated, eh?

Can't complain too much, Wambach's header was an awesome moment, given the setting and circumstances.
