Personally, I enjoyed Wambach's header more than Donovan's goal. It was a better goal, it was in extra time, it meant more, and it was against Brazil (my father-in-law is from Sao Paulo).

Many people would say that her celebration after scoring the goal was a better moment than the goal itself.... ;)

Even in that game, Lilly's clearance of a sure China goal off the line was a more important moment since it allowed the shootout to take place in the first place.

Almost certainly not the Olympics. My father-in-law is proud to be from Brazil, but Sao Paulo and Rio have a nice rivalry that prevents him from recognizing anything good about Rio. As I said very early in this thread, he would be upset at whoever named this thread title. :p:D:D

As for the World Cup, we are trying to make arrangements to attend a few of the games. He still has family in Sao Paulo and near Fortaleza, so we're looking at potentially going down there for a few weeks, see a few games, and crash at relatives' places. He also has family in Argentina, so we may head down there for a few days as well.

It was set up in a bracket of 64, so all those moments were included, but lost somewhere along the way.

I like it better than Lalas's version. I'm still partial to Keller or Howard, personally, but I can see Friedel getting the nod for 2002.
