Never liked John Terry, liked him even less after his various issues with racism and other people's wives...really not happy he didn't get called for this

SO psyched! WNY Flash won the regular season, and have home field advantage throughout the playoffs. They play Sky Blue FC on Saturday; I believe all of the NWSL playoff games are on Fox Soccer Channel (or whatever the heck they call it now).

Agreed...seems like I finally know when games will be on and what channel

Re: World Soccer XXIV: The Road to Rio

Hull City with their first win of the season! Had to do it with only 10 men for about 70 minutes of the game, but a win is a win.

Well that helps for European leagues but he said world leagues. Plus the UEFA coefficient isn't a great metric for a league as a whole. Spain has the number one ranking in that list but outside of Barca, Real, and maybe Valencia and Atletico Madrid, how good are the other teams compared to other teams in other leagues? Is Malaga better than Fulham?

Plus it doesn't answer to worldwide questions. Is the Brazilian league better than the Russian league? Is the Russian league better than the J-League in Japan? Is MLS better than the Austrian league?

in other words, the old which conference is best argument? How many times is that one kicked around on USCHO.com a year here? The only thing NCAA hockey has going for it in the conversation is that there would be a little better amount of data points to used for comparisons.

Exactly. Soccer clubs only have one point of reference in the Club World Cup but that's practically useless.

Re: World Soccer XXIV: The Road to Rio

Portland - Seattle about to start on ESPN2. Should be interesting, lots talk going on back and forth this week. It's also Clint Dempsey's home debut.

Re: World Soccer XXIV: The Road to Rio

Re: World Soccer XXIV: The Road to Rio
