Well Chris Foy did everything he could to help out City but thankfully his efforts were unsuccessful and United move on. Great game from Rooney, Welbeck, and Valencia. It was very nice to see Hargo come on at the end, hopefully he can get some more games in the second half of the season.

"Help"? Giving them a red card is help? Like a Great White tries to "help" a baby seal, I suppose.

Looks like City fans are back to calling the Cup a Mickey Mouse competition.

I didn't see the game, and I wouldn't call myself a supporter of either club, but going by the comments in my timeline on Twitter the outrage seems to go beyond City fans.

Well he gave them a free kick that led to City's opening goal after Richards tackled Evra then turned down a stonewall penalty when Kolarov brought down Valencia. I would say thats quite a bit of help. I think he got the Kompany decision spot-on, you can't make tackles like that nowadays. Its a broken leg if he connects with Nani.

Why did nobody tell me sooner that Eric Cantona was pretend-running to be President of France?

In an interview tonight (I guess it was on FSC or Plus) Sepp Blatter said again that MLS needs to go to an "international" schedule. Never mind that for many of the teams that would mean playing in snow and freezing cold (ask the Brits). I'm sure a game at Chicago, Foxboro, Philly or Denver in the dead of winter would be fantastic!

Sepp can go pound sand - preferably in Qatar.

I'm waiting for the next USSF election and for somebody to be the radical that says "either FIFA changes or we're out!"

Seriously, what about the Scandanavians? Practically everybody in the Americas? Japan? Korea? They all don't play "international schedules".

Grant Wahl says the USMNT will play a friendly vs Mexico at the Azteca this August.
