In the immortal words of Jack Edwards: GET UP!

Re: World Soccer XX: I paid Jack Warner $1M for the right to start this thread

Univision just showed the results of their text poll...only 84% think Mexico will win this game :p

Dempsey belongs on a European side with the amount of flops he takes.

Normally I take pride in the fact the US doesn't pull that crap, but Dempsey has been a flopper ever since he's been with the USMNT.

Re: World Soccer XX: I paid Jack Warner $1M for the right to start this thread

US needs a goal in the next 5 or the flops, dives, and faking will kill the game.

Re: World Soccer XX: I paid Jack Warner $1M for the right to start this thread

That's game.

Re: World Soccer XX: I paid Jack Warner $1M for the right to start this thread

Wow. I wish we could have one finisher as good as that shot. World Class. As much as I hate Mexico...have to tip your hat to them for this comeback.

Ugh.

Re: World Soccer XX: I paid Jack Warner $1M for the right to start this thread

I'm not tipping a hat. I'm stoking fire. This is embarrassing. All 4 goals came on the same side: Bornsteins.

Re: World Soccer XX: I paid Jack Warner $1M for the right to start this thread

I'm in Pittsburgh this weekend and ask them to put this game on after the pirates. I'm being referred to as homosexual

Re: World Soccer XX: I paid Jack Warner $1M for the right to start this thread

To be fair, Timmy Chandler, Stuart Holden, and Jozy Altidore all weren't available this match. 3 players who play positions that could have contributed easily.

Re: World Soccer XX: I paid Jack Warner $1M for the right to start this thread

9.4 on that dive.

Re: World Soccer XX: I paid Jack Warner $1M for the right to start this thread

US has fallen. Mexico has gotten near World Class. Here's to 5 years of being Mexico's b*.

What did Dempsey do to deserve a yellow?

With this defense? And would Bradley have played them? Altdore maybe but I'm not sure on the others.

Yes, Holden and Chandler are that good. Chandler would have been playing on the wing and Holden would have been occupying Bedoya's spot.

The home crowd here in Mexico city looks happy

Re: World Soccer XX: I paid Jack Warner $1M for the right to start this thread

US blows a 2-0 lead, Mexico wins 4-2. Another embarrassing loss to Mexico.

Don't know about that, I think Holden's role at Bolton has been more analogous to the role Jones played (or attempted to play) in this tournament. At any rate, he would have been on the field.

Still, that's no excuse. Mexico lost two defenders in the first half, not to mention 5 guys to the tainted chicken.
