I think he was talking about another play where Lahm kept an argentina forward onside, it was pretty close but the argentina player was leaning towards goal and lahm was trying to step up...I agree with tba on that oneLooking back on what was going on here while I was watching the game... please tell me that this wasn't in reference to the non-goal by Argentina when they had no fewer than FOUR players offside...

Is it just me or does it look like TWO Uruguay players handled on that play?
Maybe they should have sent both of them off.![]()
Not unless he wants to get banned?
Her name is Larissa Riquelme and Google is your friend.
I think I'm rooting for a Netherlands-Germany final as that will be most entertaining, but I honestly wouldn't mind one bit if Uruguay won the whole thing. 3.5 million people and 3 World Cup titles? Impressive.
Yeah but does anyone really count the first two?
I thought if you win recently than the past countsYeah but does anyone really count the first two?

In 1950, they beat Brazil in the final. In Brazil, in front of 200,000 people.
I'll count that, thank you very much.
Um, I thought they said on the broadcast that the 200k game was only the last game of group play, not the final...
Well, the way it worked back then was that instead of a knockout round, the 4 best teams played a round robin group. The last game of that group was Brazil-Uruguay. So, it was both the last game of the group, and the de facto final.
