Onyewu has absolutely stunk. He hasn't looked even remotely like someone who should be paid to play soccer. All three goals scored against the US have been due to his poor positioning.

So, in summary, I couldn't be happier with this turn of events unless he were summarily sent home.

don't have a great feeling today. could easily see an England win and a US-Algeria draw.

USA win by any score, England 1-0 win. USA would then top the group, England 2nd as goal differential would be at least level (and USA would have more goals scored).

Of course, if anyone is rooting against England they'd root for a US blowout win and a British draw. The US would still top the group and Slovenia would be 2nd.
