It's almost as ridiculous as a "royal" club in a country that's founded on a lack of royalty.
at the Europoseurery.
Sporting? Really? It's almost as ridiculous as a "royal" club in a country that's founded on a lack of royalty.
I was hoping for KC FC or FC KC because it would sound so symmetrical.
That would have made the most sense.
Name aside, I think the graphic design stinks.
Having a playoff that begins with a home-and-home then goes to single elimination would be like having the Division Series be best of seven and the Championship and World Series be best of three.
I know this sounds lame, but every time I see "Tshabalala", I think of "Kiss The Girl" from The Little Mermaid.
The FIFA Technical reports on the bids just came out.
Qatar was eviscerated, which hopefully kills any idea that they would be a suitable host among voters, although this might mean Qatar simply has to double their bribe money.
The US got a predictably good rating, although that was never really a concern. The report did cite "legal issues" and "lack of government support" as concerns going forward.

Somebody probably pointed out the ease at which opponents supporters would add a 'U' to that in signage etc. and cause the eye to come up with a different impression.

I agree, I think the stealing of team names from countries that speak languages other than English is ridiculous (with some exception for teams like Chivas). I think the teams should embrace the fact that we are somewhat unique in the world in referring to the sport as soccer more often than football and use the abbreviation SC without any foreign words. Using words like City, Town, United etc... would be fine with me too.Everything about it is stupid.
