I doubt I was the only person who noticed this today, but a certain Ghanaian defender, who claims his last name was misspelt 'PANTSIL' on his work permit by West Ham United and says it's really 'PAINTSIL,' was 'PANSTIL' today.

I guess the guy in charge of kits was really <strike>pants paints</strike> panst today.
I noticed that too, but didn't think it'd be of much interest to anyone other than other Fulham fans. :)

Remember that funky German TV animation of South Africa's opening goal?

Well, here is the animation of, you guessed it, Clint Dempsey's goal!!

Enjoy!

Concerning tomorrow's play, I think Paraguay and Italy should be the top game. Paraguay is underrated for my money and Italy are slow starters. It will also be interesting to see how the Dutch look.

These aren't regular horns these are like gigantic kazoos that make one continuous sound. I've been watching soccer on television since the '90 World Cup. I cannot stand the noise. They don't add anything to the atmosphere of the games.

They also might cause permanent hearing loss.
I figure that enough of the fans there will suffer a little burnout from blowing them all the time, and will have enough of a headache that they'll stop blowing on them so dang hard.

Nobody in real life man :p

haha, well the only reason I wasn't out at a bar or party was because I was busy doing some work on my new house and couldn't get out...

I don't know if game to watch is the right word. Italy-Paraguay is a battle of two horrifyingly boring defensive teams, just one has the ability to score goals. :)

Paraguay is so strong defensively that they can make even the best teams in the world scrape to a 1-0 victory.

The Danes are barely hanging on. I love watching the Dutch play, but this guy apparently doesn't.

Netherlands/Denmark is the only game of intrigue for me tomorrow. I want to see if the Netherlands look like the contenders people are making them out to be.

Really? I haven't heard anybody speaking out for the Dutch. Sports Illustrated posted 15 experts picks; one picked them to finish second, one finished them to finish fourth, and thirteen picked them to not make the Semis.

As for the horns, kazoos, vulvas, whatever you wanna call them, they're part of global soccer matches. Lived in Europe for thirteen years, and the South Africans certainly aren't the only ones to make a lot of annoying noise. I am not sticking up for the noise-makers, just saying its like watching 70's porn and complaining the dudes have gross facial hair.

I heard Bert Blyleven has given up his lobbying for the Hall of Fame for a month to lobby to get on the pitch instead.

You have to think 2nd in the group will come down to Cameroon-Denmark

Haven't seen any offensive flashes from the Danes so far

Kuyt puts it to bed. Anyone know how to sing "Turn Out the Lights" in Danish?

That is all.
