If we are going to crash out, the least we could do is go to a 4-3-3 in the 2nd half and give it a run at scoring.

US defense continues to be awful.
Poor marking...great shot..Howard caught out on first goal for Slovenia.
Second goal was the perfect example of everyone has a plan until they get punched in the mouth and that's exactly what Slovenia did with that counterattack goal after the US really put the pressure on and got three grade A scoring chances.
Why does it take the US 35 minutes to start caring?

pretty much... that ball he tried to slide across to donovan... he should have attacked, forced the issue and have a strike... maybe a defender lunges and takes him down... way to tentative in the attacking third out of him...

If this scoreline held the US would need a miracle to advance.
Slovenia beating England 1-0 would then require a 4-0 win for US over Algeria. Assuming England beats Algeria of course.
They need to do everything to get a tie.
