Good for Donovan....a great goal that he needed to score, considering his "If we can't beat Slovenia" comments.

donovan's services off of free kicks have been terrific in the first two matches

No but its in the past.

We can't dwindle on it. We've got 39 minutes to score an equalizer and that's all that matters.

As crappy as the first half was. We've got a game now and that's what needs to focused on.

I would even excuse it with a tie. A tie gives us a much stronger chance than a loss. Obviously a win is most desired but given the way this started, I'll take a tie.

Why would you excuse a tie? They should never have been in this position. Sure a tie is way better than a loss, but our failings will continue to show if we don't do something about our starts.

I doubt high quality sides are going to let us drop behind 2-0 and then come back.
