World Soccer XI: To South Africa, and Beyond!

Re: World Soccer XI: To South Africa, and Beyond!

I've only followed Villa for the last few years and these next several weeks will be big in terms of validating their progess since Lerner and MON took over. They are knocking on 4th place in EPL, play for the Carling Cup and have made it this far in FA.

Wish they would have saved a few of yesterday's goals for future games but it was still good to see them score 5 and score them from the flow of play...even if it was Burnley.

Trust me... they NEEDED the goals vs Burnley just to show others (and prove to themselves) that they are capable of scoring goals that are NOT a direct result of set pieces.

Ok... off topic question... has anyone actually seen a FSC game in HD yet? They keep saying the games are in HD, but I will be dam ned if DirecTv has them up in it yet. Do we have to wait until March 1st? Also, does Setanta go under that day and become Fox Soccer Plus? And, if so, is there a fee for FSP? Or, is it then a part of Sports Pak (like FSC is)? I am sooooo confused!!!

DirecTV has not made any official announcements about FSC in HD or about FS+. It is generally anticipated that they'll start broadcasting FSC in HD as soon as their new satellite is operational (last I knew, it was in a testing position, and once it tests out, will need to be moved to its final orbital slot), but there's a chance they could scavenge bandwidth from someplace else to get it up sooner.

Speculation has swung both ways as to how FS+ will be offered. Some speculation that it will remain a one-off premium like Setanta, other speculation that if Setanta couldn't make money doing that, FSI probably can't either, and they'll get it swung into some sort of bundled offering like the Sports Pack.

DirecTV said today they will have an announcement on FSC+ this week. FSC has yet to announce how FSC+ will be priced / what tier it will be on.

Re: World Soccer XI: To South Africa, and Beyond!

Nearly 2 hours of my life that I can't get back. Thanks for nothing.

Both teams have been playing not to lose of late (especially City). Which would be okay, except while they grind out draws, Spurs and Villa are taking full advantage.

I keep on waiting for Spuds typical collapse, but it's a little slow in coming this year.

Not only were both teams playing to not lose, they were diving all over the place. It was just miserable.

For those of you who have bought jerseys from overseas, how long as shipping taken once you got notice that it was sent out?

I've bought quite a few and my memory tells me it was never longer than the website said it would be - I echo the Kitbag comment

Ewwwwwww.

(Team shops aren't generally as fast as commercial sites like Kitbag, but it still shouldn't be more than 7-10 days I don't think.)

Should've consulted you guys before purchasing, but the Hull City store was selling jerseys for £10 and customizing was £11.50 so a Vennegoor Of Hesselink jersey for sheer idiocy had to be picked up. It being school bus yellow in color made it that much more awesome.

Re: World Soccer XI: To South Africa, and Beyond!

Oh right, forgot that you buy ugly jerseys on purpose.

Re: World Soccer XI: To South Africa, and Beyond!

You should definitely buy:
