That's nothing - you should see what it takes to get an annual bus pass in Geneva!Ahh, incestuous and sketchy European politics, at least it may benefit my favorite team.

Apparently, Mikhail Prokhorov, the Russian billionaire who is attempting to purchase the Nets, may be forced to purchase AS Roma as a requirement for purchasing the Nets. I love this chain of events:
-Prokhorov imports 20 Russian prostitutes to France for a New Year's orgy.
-The French police make arrests.
-Prokhorov's partner in their nickel conglomerate uses the incident to force Prokhorov to take a buyout.
-The worldwide financial market collapses, destroying the value of said nickel conglomerate, but Prokhorov is very liquid and dodges serious losses.
-Prokhorov wants to buy the Nets.
-AS Roma is in serious financial difficulty due to the Sensi family's oil losses
-Berlusconi, chatting with his buddy Putin, mentions that it would be "appreciated" if some Russian money would step in and purchase Roma
-Prokhorov needs a permit to expatriate the $700M to buy the Nets, and apparently Putin is requiring Prokhorov to add $330M on top of that to buy Roma as a condition of getting that permit.
Ahhhh.... Europe.

This is why Europe is superior to us, like John Whelan says.
To be fair thats more "Russia" than "Europe". There like a colder version of Mexico with oil/natural gas instead of drugs. But I'll give Putin his due, he has a knack for hilarity no Mexican president has ever mastered.
Well, I was including French orgies and loser Italian Prime Ministers who own football teams.

Double post but Spurs have just unveiled their design for a new 56,000 seater. The early works made it look like Emirates in blue and white, but the final work has a massive kop at one end:

Some speculation that they might have pulled ahead in the race to be London Stadium 2 for World Cup in 2018, but I'd still put my money on Twickenham.
1. That's ugly, inside and out. Ask U of M how cool writing on the top of your stadium is. 2. They really want to splash out all this cash so they can host frigging South Korea vs. Ukraine?
Who's an expert with English soccer? I need to know why Arsenal is so highly favored against Tottenham. Is it a lock, or just hype? I looked up the standings and they are tied for third in Barclays, so I don't understand the huge odds.
This is greatly needed for a centsports bet. TIA
Because most people bet on Arsenal due to their historical superiority against Tottenham.
Is it automatic like UNC basketball at home against Clemson (60-0), or is there a chance Arsenal ties or loses?
