Eichel is a great talent to watch. Is he going to be the next American phenom, like a Patrick Kane or Phil Kessel. Been a while since the US produced offensive talent similar to Modano and Roenick in the late 90's.

Chirping from both teams is normal in hockey. Skating in front of the opponent's bench and taunting after sealing a W? No. That's why Buchnevich was given a 10 minute misconduct for unsportsmanlike conduct for his classy celebration. And the classy trainer? Sad, but apparently he never grew up.

The US gifted Russia with two 5 on 3 PPs...can't do that and win in this tournament unless your D plays out of their minds. That didn't happen against Canada or Russia.

At least tDon got them to the medal round and didn't get Holy Crossed. That in itself is a victory, eh?

Perhaps he should have had them play the games at Mariucci and then scheduled the likes of Penn State, UAH, UAA, etc.... instead of Canada and Russia. Then we could all pretend this team was super duper awesome. No one would ever remember that Team USA was swept in Boston and at their biggest rival (who was starting 5 or 6 freshmen) if Don had done that!

It would kinda be like what Eaves is doing at UW, but without a half empty arena :p

Looks like our neighbors to the north are indeed going to get a shot at the Russians for some North American revenge, just not quite in the way they thought.

Can't figure out who I want to win (or more appropriately, lose more) in the bronze medal game, the historic rivals with obnoxious fans, or the classless team of the tourney. Guess I should be glad neither can take gold.
