According to the lines just posted, Rachel Gorbatenko is now 17 (instead of 5), Nicole Gorbatenko is now 10 (instead of 15), and Haley Box is now 20 (instead of 27). The website roster hasn't been changed, but the lines posted for today's game show these new numbers.

Today was the day ESPN Plus decided to not work on my PC. I was on with tech support from a half-hour before the game started, until just as the game ended. And they still have no idea why it is still not working. AARRGGH!
I agree. I couldn't see if she came back onto the bench because the main camera was directly above our bench and the secondary camera never panned clearly enough (for my old eyes). But it was a relief to have someone like Rhyah skilled and ready. I like how precise she is in her movements. But I am hoping Ava was not injured long-term.
Oh, how frustrating! The coverage was really very good. The camera work was dependable and the commentators actually knew the game of hockey. My only complaint was that they kept calling Nicole and Rachel Gorbatenko "twins" and, of course, they are not.
The first period was discombobulated, but the Badgers found their rhythm after that.

She was crashed into twice. The first time, she shook it off and kept going. The second time, she was helped off the ice by the trainer and didn't come back. I haven't watched a replay. The St. Lawrence player who crashed into her wasn't penalized, so I assume she was either pushed into Ava or her momentum carried her inadvertently into Ava. Either way, though, it was a definite collision with our goalie. Todd M said in a social media post that she grabbed her left leg/hip.

It looked like the St Lawrence player spun around and slid into Ava backwards on her knees. I think her skates went into Ava's left thigh.
Great response after a shoddy first period.
My ESPN+ was wonky too. Didn't work at all on my projector and was skipping frames really bad. It pixelated out several times on one of our regular TVs too but could mostly watch it fine once I switched.
I checked a couple of the other women's games that were live at the same time and they had the same issues.
Was a nice broadcast with what must have been actual announcers (not students).

Unrelated to the competitive aspect, I am concerned about how Ava is doing health-wise. Things involving a player's skate and someone's thigh are concerning. The "lower body injury" and "day to day" listings don't clear things up for those of us who care about player health.Ava not listed on the line chart at all.
