Wisconsin Women's Hockey 2026-27

The misisng D were a huge factor.
Their best overall player was not out due to injury but Kelly being out didnt help either.
Tremblay missing was another factor.
Badgers will be fine and this is a great learning opportunity.
They need to play discipined and stop the needless penalties.

Yeah... Kelly is not the best overall player, but she is an impact player and can single handedly change a game from time to time.

The lines are jumbled due to her absence too and maybe also coz of Tremblay missing.

14 26 18 was our best line through the first 4 games and they had to break it up yesterday.

There's no question at all that being without two of their best three defenders to the training camp, plus probably their best overall player to injury, adversely affect their ability to clear the puck from their D zone, leading to the SOG differential that you cited.
Hockey sometimes can be a cruel mistress.

What Team Canada strings did the Muzzinator pull to ensure invitations for promising UW players – who have no chance of making the national team – to a camp that happened to coincide with the 2/3’s of the (actual) regular series games between TWSNBN and Wisconsin?

Two of Ohio State's top players Amos and Petrie didn't play either which made it more even.

Ohio was missing a very good upper-class forward, and a very well-thought of freshman forward.
