Wisconsin Women's Hockey 2025-2026

Special for Tim, and his "junk email" folder :)

Email this AM "Request your tickets for NCAA quarterfinals at LaBahn". Open now, through end of day Wednesday.

Jones' white stick is a beauty.
And it scores goals too!

It bothers me that the team called themselves the "B" team while the others were in Italy. It's probably in jest, but I don't want any friction in the locker-room. There is some serious work to be done yet. At least the B's got some metal of their own Sunday. There's some serious team re-focusing that must occur now.

Stewart showed she has the goods in net. I didn't see any unfortunate goals against her. I wonder if she will get more starts next season with her proven abilities. Obviously it will be the Ava M show next season. I'm super stoked with Swarthout in the pipeline.

I'm amazed at how many first timers are attending the games with them being sold out. We've sat in the same spot the last 3 games and the people around us are never the same people and are clearly not hockey aficionados. There must be healthy aftermarket sales.

*Wednesday March 4th I think.
What exactly did the email offer?

The ticket office told me I had unsubscribed from their emails - most likely, because they were spamming me with desperate pleas to buy football tickets.

When I called, they wanted to charge me $120 but couldn’t tell me for what games, what dates, really anything. All they said what that they’d take my credit card information and charge me an unspecified something if my request is approved.

How many tickets were you asking for - When I clicked the link (but didn't actually complete a transaction) - It showed $23.50/ticket - It appears only to be for the Regional Championship (so not the playoff games earlier in the week) - Says those tickets would go on sale March 9th if Wisconsin hosts. - (Making sure Wisco doesn't fall to 4 or 5 and no early game I suppose)

The page does make it pretty clear that they wouldn't charge anything until Wisconsin has been selected to host and the request is granted. - also shows a $3.5 fee.

REQUEST YOUR NCAA TOURNAMENT TICKETS
As a women's hockey season ticket holder, you receive exclusive access to request tickets for the NCAA Regional, should Wisconsin host.
Request will be accepted starting today through Wednesday, March 4 at 4 p.m.

---------------------------

Previous years, the 'other' game has either been free, or included in the cost of the Saturday ticket (I don't specifically recall, though I attended them.) That game - #8 vs #9, or #7 vs #10 - will be Thursday night, with UW playing the winner on Saturday, the confirmation email says 1 PM. All seats for the NCAA quarterfinal games are reserves/assigned seating. Cost is $23.50 per ticket; I don't know if there will be any fees in addition; as you said, credit card has not been charged yet.

I got 2 tickets pre-ordered. It was indeed in the spam box. I asked my wife to fix that, but I may have to take technology by the horns and fix it myself. It's silly Outlook thinks it's spam.

It sure looks like we've got to root for Mankato to sweep UMD or we are in for potential a visit from them if the EZAC initial foe doesn't knock them off for us.

I do not want to face UMD again! That team gives us fits. I was afraid of this scenario.

There are a number of ways for Duluth to not be coming to Madison.

If you load up the 'defaults' - "autofill higher seeds" - on Grant's predictor, Duluth is #10 and Wisconsin is #1 ---> Duluth goes to Ohio State,

And if Duluth is #10 and somebody outside the top 10 wins their conference - the easiest or most likely is Mercyhurst beating Penn State to win AH - then Duluth doesn't make the NCAAs at all.

Of course, if Duluth is #10 and Wisconsin drops to #2, then #10 Duluth IS coming to Madison. And, go the other way, Wisconsin #2 and Duluth #9, then they don't come to Madison.

Lots of possibilities besides Mankato sweeping Duluth.

My worry was exacerbated by this article:
I hope it's not behind a paywall.

Grant's bracket tool is an emulation of the NPI. You can use it to see what any set of game results means for where everyone ends up in the NPI.

Put it simply:
- Duluth is likely to finish 9th or 10th in the NPI.

-Wisconsin will finish either 1st or 2nd in the NPI.

-If there is an upset winner from outside the top ten in one of the other conferences - ECAC, AH, or Hockey East - 10th in the NPI gets bumped out of the tournament altogether.

- If Wisconsin is 1st and Duluth is 8th or 9th, Duluth comes to Madison.

- If Wisconsin is 2nd, and Duluth is 10th, and doesn't get bumped, Duluth comes to Madison.

- If Wisconsin is 1st and Duluth is 10th, they don't come to Madison.

- If Wisconsin is 2nd and Duluth is 8th or 9th, they don't come to Madison.

There are LOTS of possible outcomes over the next two weeks.

I got the tickets. Thanks for the help.

According to the ticket office, season ticket holders not being notified about the sale somewhat common. I updated my communication preferences on Bucky Mail to see if that helps.

The tickets were $23.50 including the $3.50 service fee. Still no word on whether it includes the preliminary game.

Yeah there's no guarantee UW can dodge UMD in the ncaa's. It's probably a coin toss on whether UW gets the 1 or 2 seed.

I am expecting UW to torch BSU in both games. I hope Baker gets to play in both.

Archived in my Google Wallet is an assigned seat for each of the last two Thursday NCAA games. I'm sure I'd remember if I had had to purchase those separately; I could check my credit card statements to see if there was a separate charge, but I'm confident I wouldn't find one.
