Wisconsin Women's Hockey 2024-2025

No Ava Murphy tonight. Injury? Only 5 defenders dressed tonight. I assume Grace Beckett isn’t ready for prime time?

14 forwards dressed including Vasseur and Zilisch.

The team elected Vasseur to knock down the beer can pyramid! Love that choice by the team - (though I had this back of the gut fear she'd hurt her shoulder!)

That really made me feel good. I was hoping they would do that since there was no clear number one star in my opinion. What I will say Harvey is an absolute beast out there. She's just head and shoulders above everybody else.

Today they need to shoot more and pass less. It sure seemed like in the third period they came out of the gates the shooting more.

My son and I were trying guessing who it'd be - I went with Enright, because she thought she had that goal off the pipe - and did her celebration only to find it was milimeters off, and bounced out. Must have felt kinda crumby, but then to get her goal back. My son went with Ava with the shutout. We were both happy with the teams choice!

Second your thougths on Harvey. Absolute blast to watch.

Scannell will center the top line next year. Harvey makes passes only she can see. It's crazy her vision out of this world.

For some reason, Laila is listed as D on the November Rivalry Series USA roster, so perhaps that's why Coach is giving her reps at D.

I don't mind goofing around with it a little bit but she's a power-forward to beat all power forwards and she needs to be playing there.

Only 2 more homes games until 2025. That seems very wrong.

Tough little 4 game road stretch coming up at St. Cloud then they go play in the HS rink. Friday afternoon 3 pm Saturday 1 pm.

So, I may have a bone to pick with the Athletic Dept. I read an article by TDM that says brats at football games are 7.99 and hotdogs are 6.49. At the women's hockey games, they are both well over $10.00 each. The only way to justify it is if the products are not the same for the football items as they are at the women's hockey games. What are the costs at the other venues? I think think the costs for men's and women's hockey are the same, which would make the basketball costs the same unless they change prices on the boards.

Trust me on this one: a brat and a souvenir size cherry Pepsi, $16.33, at volleyball, at football, and at WH.

Wisconsin got another commitment in the class of 2026. Goalie Kayla Swartout from Holy Family Catholic. She had a 1.96 GAA with a 92.8 SV% last season.

Wow, she is an assistant captain going into her jr year and has great stats. Saved another one from rotting away in that awful state. The only questionable thing is as she is 5'5, but she's still growing.

Timothy, you must be jumping for joy now that Daryl Watts has finally been selected to play for a Canadian National team. She will be playing in the Rivalry Series.
