Wisconsin Women's Hockey 2021-2022

Greig is playing on the first line for Colgate LOL. Had she stuck around I think she would have ended up on the 3rd line, which under MJ gets a lot of ice time. Good for her. It will be interesting to see how much Devito plays for BU. In both their defense's, they had no idea how many F's were going to be in Madison between the extra year and centralization. It will be fun to keep an eye on.

Because at UW she was a 4th liner/scratch. That's a heck of a jump, eh? To me an LOL is more of a chuckle than a belly rolling can't stop laughing thing. That's the problem with typing how you feel. My kids use LOL too much and it's rubbed off on me. One of my sons ends every text with LOL, so you know Watts I'm up against.

Make no mistake, MJ did have some nice things to say about her when she did play and UW's line-up is ridiculous, she's got plenty of talent. I am rooting for her to do well at Colgate, except if UW runs into them in a significant tournament, then I hope she has a bad game. LOL Wink

Video is better than Ohio State, but not by a whole lot.

They looked a little ho-hum during the first period, until Nealy went down on an inadvertent but nasty trip; then the energy picked up some. I'm pretty sure I saw Nealy back out, but I'm gonna watch for her more closely.
 
Yeesh they make it look so easy. The WOW line.... wow.

Watts with 3 assists, and one period to play.

For those of you who generally could care less about Hockey East (I get it WCHA is generally really great hockey) every home HE game is streamed and FREE (again this year).

And not too bad an outcome for Merrimack (last place in HE last season) against the super talented and deep Badger squad.

I knew that was the case last year, but I thought that might have been a COVID year only thing.

Merrimack had a handful of pretty good chances early on, but couldn't connect on 'the last pass', Later on, not so much.
 
I didn't see much of either game, though my daughter was watching the game on her phone in the boat while her brother and I were musky fishing Sat. and Friday she was watching it as we drove to the campground. (so I heard much of both games). The picture quality was excellent and the announcers were decent.

The WOW line featuring Kazy O'Brien (yeah I stole those) is enfuego. Really need to get SS going, and the 2nd line as a whole. The 3rd line did a little damage which was good. I wonder if MJ shouldn't flip Schneider and Watts and run the lines as they at the end of last year. Or perhaps Slide Schneider to the 3rd and bump up Woz. If they aren't clicking with the cupcakes there's no way they will click against the T bones.
 
Looks like there is a stats problem everywhere as the mainpage on this site talks about. The stats on the WI site are all screwed up. Bummer. Kinda kills the lunch time enjoyment.

I am getting to Labahn like at noon on Saturday LOL. Forecast is 77 for the high. I wear shorts to the game!

Kinda bummed I have to go to my phone for the rosters and records instead of the paper version, I'm old school. Do you scan your own tickets? That's the way I read it in the email from last week. I'm doing the print at home ones.

Instead of handing your ticket to an "usher" for him/her to scan, you walk up to a scanner stand and put the bar code or the QR code under the scanner while the "usher" watches. If it goes well, the scanner beeps and in you go; no handing the paper back and forth, etc. Concessions are also "paperless"; credit cards only, no cash.

People have said that concessions at football games during the game have been a complete mess; long slow lines. I always get whatever I'm going to get long beforehand, so I haven't any problems at football or volleyball; also, no problems getting in, but again I always get there early.

My wife bought me digital tickets for my season tickets, so I have uploaded this weekend's tickets into my phone. I am paranoid I have uploaded the same ticket twice, but the code on the ticket is not the same number so I am just being unreasonably paranoid. We're doing a double header and seeing the men's game too, I got the print at home for those.

I hope the Labahn folks have been flushing toilets and running water for a few weeks now, apparently in MN they had a bunch of plumbing seals go dry from lack of use and they had issues with the potties. Labahn only has 2 locations you know.
 
Ohio State has gone paperless on the tickets as well. We had issues at the football games with the scanners but it won't be an issue at our women's hockey games as they're FREE!

No problems seen or reported at the Field House or in the stadium. One thing I noticed at football - and it makes sense, but still - was the bubblers (water fountains) were open and running; water coming out continuously, so no touching needed to drink or fill water bottles, etc. My mother would not be happy about the wastefulness!
 
I'm more convinced than ever that Watts needs to move to the Pettet line, and I'd go as far as putting Woz with Web and Kazy and Schnieder with Wheeler and GS. Reason for Woz with the Wonder Women is to create goodness for the future.

My brain is a little fried....did we ever see the banner go up for 2019 in any sort of official celebration?

The first weekend of the 2019-2020 season, IIRC they had Cogan and Clark and Pankowski there for a "banner drop" (though other graduates - Rolfes, Shaver - were not able to be there); they gave out smaller versions of 'the banner' (instead of the souvenir pucks; I hope they go back to pucks, but I'm not counting on it). I have one right here in my living room.
