Re: WISCONSIN Hockey Vol. XXIV - Craziest Season Of All Time

Does anyone know what the carry-in policies are for this weekend's games?

Nothing bigger than a quarter barrel and you have to buy a seat for it.

Re: WISCONSIN Hockey Vol. XXIV - Craziest Season Of All Time

It's a loophole that UW and Ticketmaster probably don't really care about. Just enter the student code online and you can get tickets. Only drawback is you can only get 2. I printed them out and have them in hand for tomorrow night. I wish I was only out 5-6 years. I watched Shuchuk play at the Coliseum.

Someone told me they got more than two. After you get your first two, you can go back in and get another set.

Quick help! When do you enter the promo code? Do you just pick whatever seats you want and enter it at checkout? Because I don't see an option specifying student seats with promo code before I pick tickets. I have about 15 minutes to get this done before I have to be off to another thing and we'll just be buying regular seats at the box office...

BEER and more Beer: I was listening to the Badger Sports Hour or whatever it's called on the Big 1070 a little while ago. It was like a beer love and marketing fest. Keegan Meuer in his interview mentioned that beer is being sold. Then Posick said it again in promo for the weekend series...'still tickets available, beer garden," and then one additional mention of the beer garden and that was just in the first 30 minutes.

That doesn't surprise me. I would have tried if I needed more than two. Hopefully, all those tickets get snapped up as they are just there for the taking. It made my decision to go tomorrow night very easy.

OK, take a deep breath and use the following link and click on the student option...

They are trying to advertise to people from Wisconsin, right?

Re: WISCONSIN Hockey Vol. XXIV - Craziest Season Of All Time

:-) oh yeah. And it seems to be working, at least to a point.

To a point yes, but still a startling amount of unsold tickets especially for tonight. A win tonight would go a long way in getting some people off the fence and get some tickets for tomorrow night.

Re: WISCONSIN Hockey Vol. XXIV - Craziest Season Of All Time

What a sinking feeling. I know it shouldn't be the game I feel the worst after when the Badgers lost this season, but this feels devastating. It doesn't help that the athletic department crapped the bed with this whole scheduling issue, crapped it again with the ticket prices and lack of promotion, and crapped it a third time by screwing up the arrangement of students, the band, and the team benches.

But hey! Michigan and Michigan tech did their jobs, and UW is in a tie for 16th in the PairWise.

tough loss tonight for UW, I thought they played well.

man that building was EMPTY. I don't know if that's hockey fans abandoning UW now or that they feel the Dane is a dump, or both.

anyway, a nice nostalgia trip watching this on tv w/PB making the call. banners were up, maybe not as creative as in years past but they looked good anyway.

I didn't hear any of the old cheers though:(

Re: WISCONSIN Hockey Vol. XXIV - Craziest Season Of All Time

What a miserable 24+ hours of Badger sports. Starting with the debacle in East Lansing last night, then the women's basketball and women's hockey seasons are ended today. Then there was tonight. I really was enjoying the game on TV..until St. Cloud tied it up at 2. The game-winner was absolutely brutal.

Students placed on the side where St. Cloud shoots at twice and the band on the other side? Why?

Announced crowd under 4,000. Holy crap.

Still going tomorrow for old times sake, but what's at stake? They would literally be better off playing on the road to start the playoffs.

The 3rd goal was brutal, but they hit the post twice before that and had a puck go between Rumpel and the net through the crease, that could have been a blowout. You don't win many games only scoring 2 goals. I think we'll see Petersen in goal tonight.

4000 was the announced attendance; it did look that empty. I know UW really screwed this up from a event management standpoint, but not even half the regular Friday ticket holders (assuming there are 8000 season ticket holders, which is low) bothered to go out of their way and get tickets for the last Friday home game of the year (with the ability to buy expensive beer between periods)? The fans are clearly not happy. UW hockey is on life support.

Great point about them might being better off playing on the road vs home, not that it matters a whole lot, the end of the season is pretty much a foregone conclusion.
