So the got excited after winning a rivalry trophy, which is obviously a crime...at least they aren't reading at a hockey game like these people.

A band member reading sheet music? What a travesty!

Re: Wisconsin Hockey: Vol. XX - Growth Through Experience

I've never been in the band but if that was sheet music shouldn't two people that play the same instrument be reading from the same book?

Not when standing or marching. Works well when sitting in an auditorium. The chick's book looks like a music book from the cover.

I fail to see how the MN band member reading habits pertain to the UW men's hockey team.

It's not sheet music, it's a "how to" manual, big difference. My son got that letter last week inviting him to check out the rodentsota website...well, they were recruiting him to play in the band, but when they found out he actually knew how to play the trumpet, they withdrew their offer.

Oh no, you took a shot at our band

Maybe they should hand this "how to" manual out to your fan base before each game...

Move along old man. It's their student section now...

a. you don't know how old I am, hint...I'm not an old man
b. I sure as hell am not the only one who would like to see some of the old cheers come back

Re: Wisconsin Hockey: Vol. XX - Growth Through Experience

Joe Piskula has been called up by the Calgary Flames. It will be his second stint in the show (L.A. Kings in 2007). Piskula is the 20th Badger to be on an NHL roster this season.

Was always a big Piskula fan while he was a Badger because of his skating ability. Really happy he made it back to the big league.

If you're 23, you are old to the ones who currently control the student section. For the record, I'm 42.

It was a dig as your attitude is that of an old man in that you are pining for the good old days when things were done correctly. We all do it on certain things. Just poking you a bit but either way, those days are gone. For better or worse.

If you go to a game and try to lead them, please let me know ahead of time so I can grab some popcorn. :)

I was never that impressed by Piskula, didnt consider him a particularly good defenseman. Good skating ability, but seemed to be always out of position when on the ice.
