Wisconsin Hockey 24-25 Improving With All Due Haste.

I'm not going to indict the Granato regime with the culture that developed; I have absolutely no idea. It may be a fair theory to propose the culture Hastings is instituting is quite different and is ruffling feathers.

Yes, we’ll likely never know unless a hockey player goes all Braelon Allen on us and airs or hints at dirty laundry

here is the link where Hastings mentions “buy-in”

Hastings used the term “buy-in” describing one of the issues on offense. Interesting…

On the Badger Hockey Digest that just came out, Hastings specifically said he likes the Finley-Morrissey-Mosley grouping and how they are consistently getting chances. He then proceeds to say “We need that next group to get going. We need the Fitzgeralds, the Tassys, the Lindmarks to just go out and start to get to their game a little bit sooner than later.”

I was hoping they were over this culture issue after Whitelaw, Stramel, Cleveland and Lucius moved on and Lindmark was made captain. Maybe not.

They better get with the program quickly as you have at Denver, at Notre Dame, Minnesota, and at Penn State the next four weeks before a bye week. Critical run of games if they are going to make the NCAA tourney. Bad 4 weeks and you have a hard time having a winning season.

If you were to fix these lines:

Finley-Morrissey-Mosley
Fitzgerald-Dyck-Kukkonen
Laskosky-Lindmark-Horbach
Scholl-Mehlenbacher-Tassy
Pietela

How you would you do it and what would be the reasoning?

Here are my thoughts:
-Top line is all lefties, which would feed into my comments earlier that someone always seemed to be on their backhand in the o-zone
-Dyck isn’t ready to be 2C yet.
-Tassy is a top 6 forward
-Overabundance of right shot forwards seems to push Fitzgerald to wing instead of center. Don’t like that at all.
-Laskosky was over a ppg player last season for RIT, he needs offensive players to play with that maintain puck possession
-Our forwards are pretty small in size

My new lines spreading out handedness and play style:

Finley-Morrissey-Tassy
Laskosky-Fitzgerald-Mosley
Dyck-Lindmark-Kukkonen
Scholl-Mehlenbacher-Horbach

That looks like it creates more balance on paper. Thoughts?

Tassy was getting limited minutes due to injury was my understanding on stories from Todd Milewski. You and others on here are more knowledgeable on lines than me.

The book is out on the Badgers. Press them in the D zone and they'll turn it over and give you a goal.

This team is trash. I like how our guy had a chance to score from the near right side and he shot it right into the defender who barely moved his positioning. Awesome job dude. Definitely don’t shoot it to the left where you might actually score.

I'm not watching, I'm listening to the stream. I haven't heard Fitzgerald's name this period. Is he playing? Posick just answer this, he's not in the rotation.

Now Kukkonen gets back to back slashing penalties and he should see no more ice after he serves it.
