I feel good about the freshman and that they will develop into great players for Wisconsin. We are just in a spot where the guys who were driving last year's team left and the guys we replaced them with are not as good at this time. Gap year unfortunately.
I also think that injuries have made it hard to get continuity going on what is a short season games-wise. They have lost at least 28 games to injury. In a bunch of 1 goal loses, this can be a factor.
You wanna see a brainless player in OT? Watch Lindmark in the 20 seconds leading up to the OT goal. Two dumbass turnovers and got walked right before the goal. That is our captain LMAO.
Put on skates buddy. They played well. Had came back 2 goals down, no one talks about that. Why? They are making good progress. Tough assignment with MSU. Good news is they are in every game. Must learn how to win close.
Booya and I have rarely agreed on much, but to be fair Lindmark's play at the end of OT was brutal.
Sounds like the Women picked up a hell of a recruit from Slovakia for 2026. Mark Johnson just keeps em’ reloading. Great stuff!
We are in peculiar territory right now with the pairwise. Idle weekend but currently at 19 with chance to improve more this evening. Clearly getting credit for playing a very difficult schedule. More games tonight that could turn in Bucky's favor.
Not saying it will happen, but certainly an opportunity to go on a run and improve standing. We had a team in the 2000s I believe that finished barely over .500 and made the tourney...year escapes me.
In 07-08, Wisconsin finished the season 15-16-7 and made the tournament as a #3 seed. That was the year that the regional was at the Kohl Center. They beat Denver 6-2 in the first game and then lost 3-2 in overtime against North Dakota.
Oh, how well we remember that in Mankato. Minnesota State had a better WCHA conference record, better overall record, and a better head-to-head record (2-1-1) with Wisconsin. Wisconsin got in, MSU didn't.In 07-08, Wisconsin finished the season 15-16-7 and made the tournament as a #3 seed.
Laatsch is out for the year - had surgery on a hip injury. Bummer.
Big loss, he had been very good at both creating offense and playing solid defense this season. I am interested to see if Phelan and Hensler can be a bit more productive and consistent now. Hensler is obviously very talented, but I think there is another level to his game if he can stay confident, focused, and generate a little bit more offense. I've mostly liked what I've seen from Phelan, but it feels like every game he plays he commits one unnecessary penalty at a bad time. Maybe we see a little bit of Knox now as well? I believe he only played in one game vs minnesota.
