Wisconsin Hockey 24-25 Improving With All Due Haste.

I haven't watched them in 2 weeks (no BTN+), but the first period was the best I've seen them play this season. Up 1-0.

Did I just hear that? Anyone have the Big10+ feed on? The guy announcing doesn't know his mic is still on between periods. Somebody is getting him food for when he is high tomorrow?

Just a really bad 2nd period. Four gopher power plays; really need to stay out of the box. Wisconsin has dictated the 5v5 play.

They always find a way to have enough defensive breakdowns to lose. Being able to only score 2 goals per game doesn't help either. There is no margin for error.

Hopefully it’s grounds to get them fired. Just about anyone else would be better to listen to than these clowns. Hell, I’ll take just the rink sounds.

They were outclassed most of this game, and it really showed in OT. The gophers just about had the puck the entire OT period. We got it for about 20 seconds and promptly gave it away for the game winner.

So sick of this bs.

wisconsin showed no hustle in OT. That was the laziest skating since Sauer’s final seasons.

UW isn’t on the verge of winning, they’re on the verge of a last place finish and kids leaving because this team is going nowhere.

something is way off about this team. And quite obviously the coaching staff are clueless as to how to fix it at the moment. What is the problem exactly??? I have no clue what’s causing the disconnect. 2-8. It should NOT take this long after 1 full month of pre-season practice to get a team to work together.

They very rarely play as a cohesive unit. We have a very difficult time making consecutive tape to tape passes which makes it impossible to have any significant puck possession.

I understand the frustration, particularly after last seasons results. This is the start I was expecting last year.

Overall, this team is improving from week to week. The improvement isn’t linear and it isn’t consistent, but you can see more of the pieces fall into place each week. Their is significant work to do and I suspect that we will see significant roster turnover.

Additional turnover might be a good thing, with the opening of CHL players, since there will be a major pool of experienced players who will be looking for opportunities at the same time rosters are going to be capped at 26 players. Huge opportunity to get some experienced quality players for Hastings system. Hopefully, they are out scouting the MJ leagues (particularly the WHL and OHL) HARD this fall. This is where the name Wisconsin should help open some doors.
