No Carey, Richter, or CuJo. I do t think I saw Behrend either.

They did such a poor job introducing them, you only noticed them on the ice when they were leaving and had to shoehorn in an introduction after the game started in the corner by the boards.

And no acknowledgment of who was there online or anywhere that I can find, so I couldn’t say for sure who was there other than the more recent ones that I recognized. Maybe on FB or one of the other socials that I don’t use.

Cons and Elliott for sure. Melanson and Dauber and I think Derkson. I want to say one of the old guys was Wayne Thomas, but I’m not sure.

Agree, it was very ham-fisted and I felt they could have done a much better job.

Attendance: 8939 / game. Sitting 3[SUP]rd[/SUP]. We should be able to pass Minnesota 9,699 / game with good attendance for 2[SUP]nd[/SUP]. NoDak is at 11,640 / game and likely not reachable this year.
Last year we were at 7,855 / game (with even less butts in the seats), so averaging 1,100 more per game and this will get better.

This week: Penn State 12/8 8 pm (TB – BTN); Saturday 12/9 7 pm (TV – B1G+)
Next week: Winter Break until Kwik Trip Holiday Face-Off 12/28 - 29

Dauber was there and I feel like I remember Melanson too. Couldn't make out the others beyond those that you mentioned.

The audio on the PA seems really muddy this year and a little low on the volume.

Thanks. I forgot Dauber was there too. I wish the UW had made a bigger deal about this. Maybe start the warm-ups earlier and give these guys 10-15 minutes of highlights and interviews.

It's sad they botched this up. It was cool Hastings said in the presser that UW used to be known as "Goalie U". He's buying into the legacy nicely.

I am harboring negativity towards Mr. Fink this weekend. I was highly anticipating him arriving for multiple years and then to get the rug pulled out like that is not a good feeling. I'd love to know the backstory.

I agree with you. Maybe Fink didn't want to work the D end or didn't want to compete for playing time? Who knows?

The comment about the D thing could be very true, but if you want to play in the NHL, playing D is a pre-requisite to getting a lot of playing time. Maybe their roster was less clogged than UW's, but if you believe in yourself, you believe you can outcompete your team mates for playing time.

I just hope that Stramel doesn’t leave because he’s only getting 4th line minutes.

One interesting and concerning thing with Jugnauth leaving, there are no reserves in D. Hastings always has the extra player being a 7th D, and with 7 D on the roster, there is no one to fill that if anyone gets hurt. If 2D got hurt, they couldn't field 3 pairings. Very concerning. Are there forwards that have been healthy scratches (Stange, etc.) that can play D?

Maybe they get a walk on at semester end. It’s not a major issue unless injuries happen.

If they have to travel with 13F and 6D, so be it. Its adversity and the team will have to deal with it and grow. You play with the players that want to be here, a player who would choose leave his teammates in the middle of the season isn’t someone I’d want as a teammate anyway.

Coach Hastings was at the volleyball match (game?) last night just behind us (and the Governor) and they put him on the video board during dance cam and he laughed and refused. :D

Don't blame him for the refusal and nice to see him embracing being a Badger. Can't blame him... the Field House for volleyball is the best UW sports atmosphere hands down.

Looked like the PSU hockey team were sitting in a section by the cheerleaders and pathetic excuse for a mascot costume - getting their losing mindset in order.

I should have listened with the radio. Clymer as the color guy for this game is disgusting. Nails on a chalk board. He’ll grasp at anything to cut at Wisconsin.
