Wisconsin Badgers 2015-2016

Re: Wisconsin Badgers 2015-2016

Badge Booster, you get a great pat on the back for the Lot 91 tip. I had assumed that was a pay lot, but it's not so you are the best. I'm saving a bunch of money and I don't even have to change car insurance.

Hey, no problem I'm here to help. Once I saw the $10 sign pop up last weekend in the back lot, I was on a mission to find the next closest (and free) spot. It's a 2-3 minute longer walk at most.

Re: Wisconsin Badgers 2015-2016

That was the most entertaining (and nerve-wracking) regular season series I've seen at LaBahn. I was expecting Minnesota to come out in another gear and wasn't sure if Wisconsin could match it. Fortunately, Badgers stayed very aggressive on the forecheck and did a good job backchecking for the most part all game. Yeah, there were a couple of breakaways this weekend, but that's going to happen against Minnesota. Fortunately, Desbiens came up big today.

You could really tell how much the wins meant for the players after the game. To paraphrase Jenny Ryan in a post-game interview, 16-0 didn't mean much when we hadn't played Minnesota yet.

Coach Johnson is pretty even keeled. I would like to believe that he'll have the team fully ready for their road-trip to Grand Forks next weekend.

I was concerned the longer walk would be hard for my daughter who has some issues, but she did great. Thanks again.

On a completely random note, who on earth was responsible for sewing the "2015" onto the banners? I hadn't noticed before this weekend, but they are extremely sloppy, especially on the Frozen Four participation banner. Tristar has it as her Twitter pic which reminded me of it.

BTW, I've parked in lot 91 on the Friday afternoon games for free without any problems, so it's not just a weekend option.

Lots of programs would like to have that problem, but I get how you feel

two things non game related struck me as the difference between MN/WI this weekend:

the lack of bathrooms
... oh, and the fact that you still have water faucets in them that dispense water
U of MN has gone green, which apparently means you have to go outside and rub your hands in the dirt to clean your hands just like the Arabs
because the water faucets, if you are lucky enough to find one that works, gives less water than if you were to spit in your hands

you people are really spoiled on parking, all that free parking after 4:30 during the week and ALL DAY on weekends
not to mention the fact there is free parking for two hours during the day
I walked 3 blocks which was nice given the weather
I'm sure if I had arrived earlier I could have parked closer
it's been at least 20 years since we had parking like that, in fact most people have to pay to walk farther in Mpls
...cars being evil and all that

and as long as I've strayed from hockey, what a contrast to North Chicago, ...uh, Milwaukee....

Huh, I'd never noticed! That's totally going to bug me now!

Interesting, bc many (if not all) of those banners were made (re-made?) for LaBahn. They did not move the ones over from the Kohl. I feel like the obvious explanation would be using someone other than the original maker, but all these are quite young and shouldn't have that problem.

Those LaBahn Arena faucets are really annoying. They don't dispense a whole lot of water at a time, but each pinhole in the faucet head that water comes out of is so small that the water is sprayed incredibly hard. The soap trickles off my hands while little bits of water spray everywhere as the water deflects off my hands.

Gotta to green with everything including water usage, we have to "Be the We". Doesn't anyone else who hears "be the we" automatically associate "we" with peeing? I do an I don't want to be pee or urine. That slogan more better fits the rodents since one of their school colors is urine.

It seems to fit though since those rodents appear to scare the pee out of the red. :)

Hannah Brandt looked surprising human last weekend, she didn't scare me one bit.

Great article about ARD on this site. She certainly seems to be a an outgoing spirit on the ice. She'll interact with fans along the boards during games and chat during pregame with people (she was planning a party Friday night) and she's even tweeted with me. She promised me UW would crush the sue.

Re: Wisconsin Badgers 2015-2016

Thats not the tune you were singing last Thursday! :) If you remember I was the one that predicted a skunk weekend.

You are correct, I was very concerned going into the series. I don't mind being wrong once and awhile.

WOW, did Molly Engstrom cheap shot Megan Dugan last weekend, just deplorable, freakin cold cocked her face to face. That should be a season ending deal for Engstrom...she got a 1 game suspension. What a joke.

Really? Could make for some interesting alumni games down the road.

It's really pretty sad and pathetic considering how prone women are to concussions in hockey. There's a video link on the thread in this women's forum devoted to the women's league.

Tough series as always with the sue on the road this weekend. I wonder if Rolfes will be playing this weekend. I suspect not, since they are off coming up, why not be safe and allow the extra time to let her get healthy.

Re: Wisconsin Badgers 2015-2016

Saw that hit on Duggan by Engstrom. Wonder if that was heat of the moment or had been brewing for a while. Either way it was a nasty shot to the head.

This weekend will be interesting against the Fighting Hawks. While it shouldn't be hard to get up for No Dak on the road, it's human nature to maybe have a bit of a letdown after sweeping Minnesota. I was physically and emotionally drained from that series and I was just watching from the stands.
