Re: Wisconsin Badgers 2010-2011, The next generation.

I'm not sure how much stock I put into this theory as whole, but I think it's worth noting that 4 of the 8 games you all are discussing are over winter break, where the student section is diminished a bit.

True, but even diminished a bit its still one of the most hostile atmospheres for a road team in all of college hockey.
I could be exaggerating just a bit too. ;)

Well played. :D

You sure do hang around here a lot. You know you have to choose. You can't be a fan of both us and the Sioux and I can tell you're starting to lean towards us.

Take your time, we'll be here.;)

My kids Pee Wee games have a more hostile atmosphere than the Kohl sans-students.

At least when we're playing those degenerates from Sun Prairie or Beloit. :p

Junior defenseman Jake Gardiner's six-point weekend and sophomore defenseman Justin Schultz' five-point weekend and hat trick in the College Hockey Showcase earned the duo weekly WCHA honors this week. Gardiner shares the WCHA Offensive Player of the Week award, while Schultz is the WCHA Defensive Player of the Week.

It's a slow week, I'll put a plug in for the "Fill the Bowl" UW women's game againts the lady (sorry for the loose application of the word "lady") rodents on 1/29/11. I have purchased 11 tickets so far and am encouraging my casual hockey friends to come as well.

Let's go RED!

I'm bummed I won't make that, which kinda sucks...

Although I will be on a snowmobile trip in the UP, so oh well :)

My picks for this weekend:

Friday-UW 7 UAA 2
Saturday- UW 6 UAA 2

Seems to me this year we are having no trouble finding the back of the net.

GO RED

Friday: Wisconsin 9, UAA 2
Saturday: Wisconsin 37, UAA quits.

These UAA fans and their "pity our crappiness" attitude need a good curbstomping.

I think the games will be close. UAA's boring style of play where they just use their big unskilled players to slow up the game will keep them in it. Their goalies are horrible, just get the puck on the net and have people there ready to mop up the mess.

UW 3 UAA 2
UW 5 UAA 1

I haven't seen Donald over in the UAA/UW thread the last few days, maybe he can't type because his keyboard is flooded w/ tears of inferiority. Seems to be a common theme among UAA fans, I didn't realize that they were giving the gopher fans a run for their money on being pathetic.

He disappeared quick once we were on to his closeted desires for Phil.

I didn't expect them to be the way they have this time around. I don't remember it in the past but whatever. They'll do better at D-3 or Canadian College Hockey or wherever they end up after the BTHC and contraction.

Looking at the line-up for tonight I still see Springer on there and my question is why? I have so much more faith in Faust but what can I do but complain.

agreed. I haven't heard word about Faust at all in about 2 weeks. I thought he was just starting to get acclimated too

Springer makes me nervous. I'd play the guys who is better defensively. We can't afford a cheap giveaways goals over the next 8 games. It's time to clamp down on the weak sisters of college hockey and pad the record.

Wow Spisiak and that Tyler guy who predict WCHA series both have splits. How sad.
