Wisconsin at CC - Born Small... Now Huge... Winning... Bring it..!

Re: Wisconsin at CC - Born Small... Now Huge... Winning... Bring it..!

My daughter is in a hockey tournament this weekend in Sun Prairie. Will I be able to watch these games on TV somewhere?....thanks

Badgers have this one in the bag Tigers have no shot. Sticking to my prediction for this week with a Badgers sweep. CC looked to streaky last week and with Badgers finding their stride on Saturday. Nothing will stop them this weekend.

Comments like these could come back to haunt you. I hope they do. ;)

I have an uneasy confidence this weekend. Not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing. I have the Badgers #Winning! 4-1 tonight.

Re: Wisconsin at CC - Born Small... Now Huge... Winning... Bring it..!

I'm keeping my fingers crossed as well. Seems from the posts that both teams are equally Jekyll & Hyde, so it'll probably be interesting.

Sucks that there's no TV.

I am certainly taking the cautiously optimistic approach with CC. I am happy that with 16 freshmen and sophomores we got home ice so anything from here on out would be a bonus. Expectations will be high for this team next year since we only lose 4 seniors and one of those is our third string goalie. All of this assuming no one goes pro. I would also think Wisconsin has high expectations for next year too. Should be a great weekend of hockey. Good luck to both teams. Go CC!

I believe he is the same d-bag that complained all summer that Wisconsin uses all 18 of their allotted scholarships while RIT doesn't. Like it's our fault they are cheap or play in the conference they do. Look at the revenues RIT brings in. Look at the revenues Wisconsin brings in.

Wisonsin Hockey: #Winning.

Your belief is dead wrong. Check and see. College hockey is a subset of college education, as is funding for college hockey. Claims to the contrary are imbecilic.

Go back to the troll hole where you came from.

You seriously need to change your brain. :p

If we ignore you, will you go back to the North Dakota threads? They could use your help in their battle to keep the Sioux name.

No, my belief is correct. I just checked through your post history. You're the tool who was trolling our threads *****ing about how much money Wisconsin spends per player last fall.

Heres a thought, the Wisconsin men's hockey team is a revenue generating program. If they want to put that money back into the program, they should be able too.

Go away.

The UW athletic department is completely self-sufficent as is the men's hockey program, that is to say Revenue > Expenses.

2009: link
All Athletics: Revenue: 77,161,885 Expenses: 76,317,080
UW men's hockey: Ticket Sales: 3,248,458 Salaries and operating expenses: 1,865,590

UW Hockey (both programs): Ticket sales: 3,284,415 Salaries and operating expenses: 2,879,338

As long as the men's hockey program and the AD as a whole manage to generate positive cash flow the cuts in state contribution to higher education isn't going to impact the budget of the hockey program. The athletic department fund is separate from the general university fund.

I've been lurking these boards for about two years and decided it's about time for me to post!
