Bernie Parent with a great couple of saves! Not bad for an old guy!!

Boy, some of these guys have not aged well *cough*Ron Greschner*cough* Ron Duguay on the other had - hot as ever.

This alumni game is epic! Most fun I've had watching a hockey game in a long long time. Tip of the cap to Bernie parent. That was awesome.

If the Flyers lose this game it's because they didn't ride their hot goalie. Why did they take him out??? He was on fire!!! Did you see those saves???? Jeez. The Flyers could have used him against the Bruins last year. Yes I know the guy is old.

I've realized flyers fans only respect parent and hextall when it comes to goalies now. Unreal. Best sign only the lord saves more than Bernie!

Get in the game?

He stole the show in the first five minutes!

Stoned duguay on the breakaway and made a couple other nice saves as well. Named #1 star.

Awesome that he played with that mask from his era and then sign of the day definitely went to the guy holding "only the Lord saves more than Bernie".

As much as I hated the "Bullies" back in the day, it was great to see the five of them out there together. Almost expected to see a line brawl! ;)

I can't remember a time when I've enjoyed watching a hockey game more than that alumni game today. That had everything you could ever want.

Absolutely epic even though the Rangers lost 3-1. Hockey certainly didn't lose any fans today for anyone that watched that game and can appreciate what was happening.

I still think Toronto has to be in the mix. They are an Original Six team and there are a lot of snowbirds that would watch them. I still think it should be Toronto at Detroit next year. It's an Original Six rivalry and I bet it would get ratings and a ton of attendance.

Game tomorrow pushed back to 3pm -- smart move by the NHL.

We won't have problems with soft ice at 8pm on Wednesday. Gonna have to dress warm even though we're in the baseball broadcast booth! :eek:

Canadian ratings and in person tickets don't help NBC in the American TV market.

It's easier to sell ads for the game and get viewership numbers for two American teams. If the NHL made the decision, it would likely be a wider variety. Since it's NBC's call... It's teams that sell ads and draw eyeballs.

Minnesota vs Winnipeg is a much tougher sell than Mediocre New England team vs Mediocre Atlantic coast team due to Nielsons and ads.
