Who is in your Deadpool for Solo: Infinity War

I'm meh on it. It looks amazing and it's a spot-on portrayal of Mercury, but it seems like the band wanted half the movie to focus on the post-Freddie years. They're selling a Freddie Mercury biopic, they better deliver a Freddie Mercury biopic.

It would be like having a John Lennon biopic with a second half that focuses on Ringo's career in the 80s.

You may be right, i’m Just delving into the articles. I really hope there’s nothing on the post-Freddie Years, he was the soul of the band. Or rather he WAS the band.

Yes!

I had a feeling we could count on Lawrence Kasdan’s script and Spielberg’s recommendation of Alden as being on the money: https://consequenceofsound.net/2018/05/film-review-solo-a-star-wars-story/amp/

Welcome to 6 months ago ;)

And dont blame me cause your taste in movies died in the 1960s ;)

First I heard of it. Also, my taste in movies died in the 50s. 60s movies are sh-t, too. :)

The first Kingsman was great mindless action. The second one was the first on steroids. As I mentioned, it's like a Bond/Crank mashup. Everyone is familiar with Bond. Crank is just pure adrenaline non-stop MTV-edited action. Pure eye-candy for action junkies.

Jailbreak:
What started as a simple escort mission will soon turn to chaos as the prisoners of Koh Kla take over the prison grounds. A special task force [Jean-Paul Ly, Dara Our, Tharoth Sam] gets trapped in the prison will have to fight their way out for survival, to protect a key witness [Savin Phillip].

Cambodian movie, lots of melees and action scenes, as expected. The fight scenes were rather good. The plot is very basic. Total popcorn movie. It was a fun watch.

Mr Woodcock:
A self-help author once tormented by a sadistic gym teacher finds out the teacher is dating his mom, and tries to stop the relationship.

Pretty much what I expected. So much, in fact, I got bored with it and shut 'er down about 2/3 through the movie. Obvious things were obvious, and didn't hold my interest at all.

Editor's note: mookie would LOVE Jailbreak for obvious reasons. ;)

duly noted. (get the drift that watching the former may induce the later ;))

Most likely. The bulk of the gang in the former, well.....one would have to subscribe to Mookie's newsletter, so to speak.

Daughters Of The Dust:

Languid look at the Gullah culture of the sea islands off the coast of South Carolina and Georgia where African folk-ways were maintained well into the 20th Century and was one of the last bastions of these mores in America. Set in 1902.

Got tipped off to this movie after this past week's W Kamau Bell show, about the Gullah people. It's okay. Wish they would have nixed a lot of the silent scenery scenes with a bit more explanation to the actions/traditions of the culture. I suppose it's worth a watch if you're curious about the culture, though.

Re: Who is in your Deadpool for Solo: Infinity War

If you liked the first Deadpool you'll LOVE the sequel. Incredibly funny. And not just at other people's expense. Reynolds takes some serious shots at himself and his past. In one case very literally.

If you didn't like the first one then you probably won't like this version.

Looking forward to it.

And I guess John Wick 3 is coming out next year. That should be fun.
