You are correct in the sense that SA is an overrated beer. However, I suspect you object mostly because, similar to Guinness and their "Brilliant!" campaign, Boston Beer Co. has used advertising to turn SA into a brand for trend geeks and hipsters to latch onto. That is also correct and yes, it is annoying.
I think SA is alright and I occasionally drink it at home for variety. At any decent bar though, there are usually better options.

Or Schafer or something else that sucks/sucked and comes in a pretty-looking can.

A Dogfish Head 120 Minute IPA would have been a good choice as it's delicious, American made (local even), and drinking one would have had the same result as drinking tequilla.![]()
That's just for people who like good cheap beer.![]()

I was just talking with my dad about this on Saturday, and he remembers when it was a big deal for him and his college buddies to bring Coors Banquet back to MI after ski trips to Colorado. Apparently it was a significant upgrade from Old Mil at the time.![]()
A BIG change from OM -- but are his memories of the ski trips as foggy as mine??![]()
I'm sure that when they weren't somersaulting down the back bowls, they were busy learning that a few beers at 8,000+ feet will also knock even a well-trained flatlander on his a55.![]()

I thought the whole White House Beer Session was a stupid PR stunt. I was really hoping that a huge "Tastes great!" - "Less Filling!" argument would break out,
Which would have been a huge improvement. And that's not meant as a compliment to Miller Lite. Bud Lite is just that flippin' awful of an excuse for beer.
